Easy access to Munich city centre. Pleasant breakfast area. Bedroom had very limited floor space and no bath (just a shower). TV was badly positioned for viewing, and there was no English-language news channel to watch. |

We have just spent four nights here and would not hesitate to recommend it and would certainly go back (with one reservation). The hotel is in a lovely old building but is clean and modern inside. We chose a 'comfort' room on the third floor because we wanted our own shower. The room was immaculately clean and the shower area also. There was nothing we did not like about the hotel |

Hotel staff were surly and uninviting. We would go somewhere else next time. We had reservations months in advance for double bed. We got single beds. The cleaning lady was very slow, and we had to get our own towels for the bathroom |

We really enjoyed the location and the breakfast. Elevator and bathroom were very small. I didn't realize, I would need to bring my own soap and shampoo. |

The location is excellent for visiting the historic area of Munich. The food is very good. The rooms are a bit small but clean and comfortable. The recycling of bottles in the alley at restaurant closing time is quite loud for the rooms on that side of the building. The "city noises" can be heard in the evenings, which is understandable and should be an expected tradeoff for this more economical central location. |

Excellent location - at the Viktualienmarkt and next to metro "Marienmarkt". Rooms pretty basic. Bathroom is a plastic cabin. Hotel staff could have been more accommodating. |

Location, very close to the centre of the city,transport connections, also an interesting area, right by the victuallian market. Helpful staff, offered a small voucher to use in the cafe -nice touch. I probably got the worst single room in the place, bathroom facilities were not very good but ok for my short stay-no shampoo toiletries etc. chose the hotel for position which was great. |

Location Location Location! Right slap bang in the middle of the market place which is one of the best things about Munich. Beautiful restaurant and nice breakfast (a tad limited). Room wasn't the biggest I ever stayed in but it was spotless clean and very functional. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. |

The very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was on the first floor, so we could hear and feel the loud music from the ground floor. Only because we had to get up at 3.30 A.M. to make our early flight, we were slightly disturbed by the noise. It ended at 11 P.M., and if we hadn't had to leave so early we might have joined in the fun! |

It was very close to all the local attractions and was a couple of minutes from Marinplatz and the U bahn. We stayed in the suite and was worth the money and was clean. We thought the breakfast wasnt great. Very small selection of bread, meat, cheese, Not a huge selection on offer. The lift was also very small and could only fit 2 people in it. |

..Silvano and his staff were very friendly....everyone made me feel at home....very clean......great value...and location is superb!....I will definitely stay at the Hotel Am Markt again.... ...because the hotel is old (300yrs?), the walls are not insulated well, so it can be fairly noisy (crying baby for an hour one night), snoring man on one side, but that's the price you pay for 'charm'....bound to be some noise - it's like being in a house with a big family...i loved it.. |

It is in a great location just steps away from the christmas market. Each room is different with mismatched furniture but it has charm and the rooms are very clean and the bathrooms are too. |

Perfect location right on the Viktualien markt. Lovely room, with clean new furniature. Don't stay at this hotel if you want a lie in. As the name suggests it is right on top of the market, which means that 7 am is wake up time for those outside and in!! |

Hotel location and external appearance are superb. Breakfast starts at 7:00. One day we were leaving the hotel earlier and wanted to get some sandwitches or so but failed in spite of requested in advance several times. |
