Dorint An den Thermen Freiburg  

Very nice location, easy to reach, easy parking, good breakfast, very nice rooms with excellent beds.

One of the main reasons for the stay at Dorint was the swimming pool. as it was mentioned. This was however EUR. 13,- per person extra. As a family with 2 children , this was an extra charge of EUR. 52,-. This should be mentioned on the website when booking the hotel.

Restaurant services very professional and good quality of food. Room was clean and with nice furniture.

The position was very nice, we stayed overnight on route to Italy it was very conveniently situated from the motorway.

The spa was excellent. It was quiet at night. The breakfast very good and the evening buffet acceptable. It was a relaxing place to spend the end of a busy day - well five busy days actually. The staff were - usually when requested - very helpful. (We booked a standard single room for our son and a Classic Room for ourselves).

My husband is disabled and that is why we used the hotel as it has roll in shower bathroom facilities. There were hand grips in the shower but none around the toilet. We booked a Classic Room for extra space, which was obviously more expensive than a standard room and very well decorated, furnished etc. but not very spacious for someone in a wheelchair; especially around the bed. There was a hoist in the pool, which I could use for my husband and an unusual metal stepped device for disabled people to get in to the pool - both very good. We did have to request someone to open a glass door for us when we entered and left the pool. It would have been more convenient had we been independent. Although I have made mild criticisms here, we would not hesitate to use a Dorint Hotel again.

We (my wife and my 9 months old son) thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Dorint An den Thermen for a 3 night stay. We could have a run in the forest, rent bikes and visit Freiburg and the nearby wine houses: everything within 6km reach, which is ideal for a young family. Moreover, within a stone's throw away there is an excellent spa/thermen facilities where I taught my son his first lessons in swimming: a great experience. Adding the fine facilities and staff of the Dorint, to conclude that we will surely return for another relaxing holidaybreak.

Thinking of anything we didn't like is hard, it's basically a very good holiday break experience.

The location set in the woods is gorgeous and very peaceful. Its close enough to other cities to enjoy day trips. The staff was very helpful and friendly. During breakfast, the waiters were all very friendly and made sure to talk to the children as well, including my infant daughter. During dinner one evening, I watched a waiter get crayons, paper, and a small puzzle for a young girl (about 4) and help her put the puzzle together when he was not assisting the adult customers.

The room was small than we expected but a typical European room. The website says that the hotel has pools, but really the pools are part of the neighboring building and can be accessed through a long corridor from the hotel. BUT-we were not aware beforehand that we would have to pay to use the pools. The pools were wonderful, including the heated outdoor pool, but it was frustrating to have to pay for the use since we were already paying for the room. Internet was pricey as well and we were not given information about how it actually worked until the second time we had to ask for it.

La situation géographique. Cet établissement était à 5 minutes de la ville de Freiburg que nous souhaitions visiter. L'établissement est en plein air, entouré de verdure ce qui est agréable.

La chambre double que nous avons réservée était en fait une chambre avec deux lits simples accolés l'un à l'autre (ce qui n'était pas indiqué sur le site). Le personnel ne parle pas du tout français, pourtant cet établissement est situé à 40km à peine de Colmar... Nous aurions aimé qu'au moins une des personnes nous ayant reçu parle notre langue un minimum. La télévision est très vieille.

Der Service, die Lage und der Zugang zum Keidelbad

Ruhige Lage neben dem Thermalbad im Mooswald. Man schläft bei offenem Fenster in aller Ruhe mitten im Wald

Anfahrtausschilderung praktisch nicht vorhanden und für wlan wird der Gast abgezockt ( 5 Euro pro Stunde!!!!) und das ist bei nicht vorhandnem Vodafone Netz besonders berechnend. Ich denke Dorint muss seinen Umsatz nicht auf diese Weise machen

Immer wieder ein schöner Aufenthalt mit Komfort, Wellness (Thermen) und hervorragender Küche. Mitten im Wald und nahe an Freiburg gelegen; ideal fuer Erholungsurlaub oder als Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg nach Süden.

Glasschiebetüren zum Bad/Toilette. Die könnte man dann auch gleich weglassen!
