The staff is amazing! Great service!

We could not have a family room through Booking website although this was show on the page and we booked this option. When we arrived the staff offer us 2 rooms. We travelled with 2 small children therefore this solution was practical.

My room was under the roof, fairly small - value for $ ' should be cheaper rate than main floor rooms? Breakfast 17 EURO/person???-that's $28..!! Room needs an upgrade, ie.new carpet/flooring and furniture/bathroom and flat screen tv I guess; I asked for upper floor, not knowing that I would be under the roof in a fairly small room

It is very nice to see fly screens on the room windows. A good touch. We ate at the restaurant (from the snack menu) and the steak given was one of the best I have had in years. My family also enjoyed the Schnitzel very much. You couldn't fault the food or the friendly service. The hotel is situated in a forest and next to lovely pools and you need a car. A perfect place to explore the Alsace from.

The recent renovations have created very nice rooms (though relatively small). The only downsides - and these are extremely minor - are the see- through bathroom sliding-doors and the water that splashes over the back of the sink. We would definitely go back. We had booked elsewhere in the region (Best Western Hofgut Sternen) and stopped by there on the way to the Dorint. Upon seeing the kitsch nature of the overrun tourist trap that the other hotel was, we were very pleased not to be staying there.

It was located close to the Autobahn. The scenery surrounding the hotel was nice (forest).

Wi-fi was available but was very expensive. I also would not recommend this hotel in the summer. I live in Germany and know that air conditioning is not typical. That said, the room was so hot I considered checking out and sleeping in my car. We were on the top floor. There was a tiny oscillating fan that did not oscillate. Our two small children were dripping with sweat just from sitting in the room. The window was small and the curtains made it extremely difficult to open enough to provide any air flow. I would suggest requesting a room on a lower level, especially if staying here during the summer.

We (my wife and my 9 months old son) thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Dorint An den Thermen for a 3 night stay. We could have a run in the forest, rent bikes and visit Freiburg and the nearby wine houses: everything within 6km reach, which is ideal for a young family. Moreover, within a stone's throw away there is an excellent spa/thermen facilities where I taught my son his first lessons in swimming: a great experience. Adding the fine facilities and staff of the Dorint, to conclude that we will surely return for another relaxing holidaybreak.

Thinking of anything we didn't like is hard, it's basically a very good holiday break experience.

The Hotel is located in a beautiful and charming area. The room, eventhough a bit small was modern and clean. We really liked it! The restaurant offers delicious menues for not much money.

The Thermal baths were not included in the room price (15 e per person per Day). Considering the oldness of the infrastructure we believe that the price is a bit excessive. This thermae were probably built in the 70'ies and they have never been renewed eversince. If you eat at the restaurant consider at least 1.5h time, the service being a bit slow.

The location set in the woods is gorgeous and very peaceful. Its close enough to other cities to enjoy day trips. The staff was very helpful and friendly. During breakfast, the waiters were all very friendly and made sure to talk to the children as well, including my infant daughter. During dinner one evening, I watched a waiter get crayons, paper, and a small puzzle for a young girl (about 4) and help her put the puzzle together when he was not assisting the adult customers.

The room was small than we expected but a typical European room. The website says that the hotel has pools, but really the pools are part of the neighboring building and can be accessed through a long corridor from the hotel. BUT-we were not aware beforehand that we would have to pay to use the pools. The pools were wonderful, including the heated outdoor pool, but it was frustrating to have to pay for the use since we were already paying for the room. Internet was pricey as well and we were not given information about how it actually worked until the second time we had to ask for it.

Excellent hotel, good facilities and very professional staff.Large and good quality buffet breakfast. Connection with thermal baths is one the bests assets of this hotel.

Free Thermal pool pass with Hotel price. The gym was also very excellent. The hospitality of the morning brunch crew was excellent.

Sehr freundliches Personal vom Einchecken bis zum Auschecken. Hervorzuheben auch die Freundlichkeit der Reinigungsfrau!!! Das Zimmer war neu renoviert, sehr modern gestaltet sowie bis in die kleinsten Ecken sauber. Man kann sich dort sehr gut erholen. Insgesamt entspricht das Zimmer/Hotel seinen **** Sternen. Wir waren mehr als zufrieden.

Die Keidel Therme nebenan ist nur begrenzt nutzbar wegen Umbauarbeiten.
