the confortamble environment and the facilities. Good breakfast also
The hotel is very new and up to date. Overall the staff were great and knowledgeable and the breakfast buffet was awesome. The workout facilities were also top notch.
The room was too hot. The location is in a bit of a rough area so not somewhere you want to be walking around at night.
Conveniently located, contemporary designed, comfortable hotel. Only a short stay but I would like to visit again in order ro
Only gripe was the expensive mini bar. Why are they so expensive?!
Andels hotel isn't so far from the center, well you have public transport just front of it. The room was clean and also i like the bathroom combinated with the shower you can drink your coffee or tea when you came back from a visit for example and it's also free.If you want to use wifi then you have to pay like 2euros per hour or you can use it a little bit free of charge. The breakfast was excellent. You have so many choices, just sit and the waiter take care of everything you need like a cappucino.... I'll not forget my stay in Berlin such a great town !!! Germans People are so kind and helpfull
Just the Air conditioner it doesn't work Always cold air anyway i wasn't in my room 24/24
It was very nice.
Very nice rooms
There's only one elevators sheft. You need to walk pretty long distance. Breakfast is not more then fair.
Design and ambience
Distance from centre of city. Lack of local shopping
The room was nice and a breakfast was very good.
Wi-fi wasnt so good... :(
we were given a room overlooking railway lines with plenty of night trains. the noise was a disturbance. in the morning, at our request, we were moved to a large suite on the quiet side of the hotel for the remaining two nights. We appreciated the manner in which this situation was resolved, including the great courtesy of the desk staff. very positive. Breakfast was on all occasions a very excellent affair. The concierge at all times was the most personal and helpful. We were truly grateful for his willing and warm help in anything. 10 out of 10! breakfast was
This is a business hotel catering for conferences . The spaces are enormous and impersonal. The corridors are endless rather like a maze ........ not a place that a person feels comfortable at any time. This place is definitely not suitable for families. lacking in any atmosphere of intimacy.
Beautiful lobby, free computers with internet access, free wifi, nice breakfast. Good concierge service, we bought tram and excursion tickets on the desk, concierge guy was very polite.
When we arrived, girl on the desk asked for a credit card. With no explanations she made some transaktion. I received sms about transaction which was the same as sum in the booking confirmation. So I was sure that we made prepayment for our stay. When we were leaving, a guy on the desk asked us how we gonna pay for our stay. I answered that we payed everything. And he informed us that this sum was blocked on our account and we have to pay. 3 weeks passed and I am still waiting for returning my money. And if on arrival we will be informed about this rul we will just make prepayment.
The breakfast was sufficient. The hotel looks modern and the room size is descent.
The spa and sauna are quite expensive and the openening hours are not sufficient. The staff is not well motivated. You are told to wait till the next day when you ask for simple items. The room was done but not clean. There was no wifi in the room. The room consists of two single beds.
The spa is great, very interesting and large hotel.
A bit noisy in the evening (tables moving).
Very good breakfasts, coffee set in the room.
I ordered one double bed and after arrival it turned out that only single beds are available. If I had such an info earlier I would have chosen other hotel.
the breakfast was very reach ,amazing, and one of the best hotel breakfasts. the rooms clean, ,comfortable .
prices of drinks at mini bar and drinks , food at the bar are very expensive . the locate of the hotel.
Excellent conference facilities. Large and fully equipped room. Excelent food. Good location (15 min from Alexander Platz by tram, S-bahn was on strike - yes, it happens in Germany as well...)
I've stayed at andel's from 15 to 19 Oct, the first two days in relation with the EACVA conference (reservation paid for by my organisation), the last two days (booked via booking.com, paid for by myself) just to enjoy Berlin, which I happen to like very much. I was far less impressed by the staff's abilities to handle the very basic task of tracking the payments. While the first two nights were paid for about one month in advance by my organisation, the reception staff kept denying, confirming, denying again and finally confirming the payment was well received (although I gave the receptionist a copy of the payment order upon arrival). The last two nights were obviously paid with my credit card when checking out. The next day the hotel's accounting dept e-mailed me stating that I should pay (again) for the last two nights. After sending them the copy of my receipt, they reverted to me claiming that I should still pay for the first two nights. It took a long exchange of e-mails (from Monday morning to Wednesday noon) to finally clarify that everything was paid as due. I think the person involved in these exchanges (presumably supported by her colleagues) did a very good job in digging through the payment history and eventually clarifying the matter (although including some kind of loose apologies for all the hassle in the final e-mail might have helped improving my overall impression.) I find very disturbing that an otherwise excellent hotel cannot manage to either have decent financial software put in place or have the relevant staff trained to track payments. Maybe they can improve on this. Absolutely un-German, more like Balkan-style behaviour.
Great location, easily accessible from the airport and only a short tram ride into the city centre. The room was spacious and clean with a big bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. The view from the bar is spectacular! A beautiful hotel in a beautiful city.
Great breakfast. Comfortable room. Nice gym and spa. Tram across the street and taxis waiting at the front of the hotel.
Slow internet - but it was free. They forgot to clean my room one day.
20-30 mins tram into city centre
I first stayed here a couple of years ago. The location is very good. True, there are hotels closer to the city center but with the tram right in front of the hotel, it's easy getting around. The concierge is very helpful, in suggesting places to visit, arranging tickets and so forth. I love the breakfast which is included. So many choices. The bathrooms are wonderful. The showers are luxurious and the soaking tub is very relaxing. This is a contemporary property with a designer style. I always feel pampered here.
We had a problem getting wifi in bedrooms on the first night (hence slight mark-down) but this was resolved
luxurious hotel, very clean, comfortable, spacious room, close to city center with the tram, rich breakfast buffet, amazing bathroom
lobby needs more furniture
buffet breakfast was excellent great choice, liked the huge foyer and cleanliness of the whole place
This hotel is huge, modern and staff are very friendly and helpful. My favourite part of the hotel was definitely the Sky Bar with amazing views across Berlin city. The rooms are beautiful and furniture is very stylish. Will be back again some day.
The hotel is very well designed, the rates are highly competitive, and the room was large, clean, and very comfy. A very good breakfast (warm Belgian waffles!) is usually included. Good transit connections.
The paid wifi is expensive but slow. The free wifi is absurdly slow. The location is a little dodgy - the hotel is by far the nicest thing around the immediate area.
