The hotel is in a great location and the staff are very friendly. Another big plus was the breakfast. A wide variety of food and very nice. The rooms are a bit on the small side

The location is perfect. Within walking distance of Englischer Garten, University Area and city centre attractions but in a quiet side street with a residential but slightly "bohemian feel". The staff are all very friendly and helpful and speak excellent English. Breakfast room is very comfortable and cosy and the breakfast buffet is good and extensive. The hotel looks slightly old fashioned and shabby from the outside but don't be put off as once inside the welcome is warm and friendly.

Spacious family room, quiet but central location, handy for Englishergarten, Marienplatz, Ludvigstrasse; short walk to u Bahn: excellent range of food in breakfast buffet (good idea to take your own tea bags though!), delightful staff , 24 hr reception, comfortable beds and spotless white linen, no unexpected extra charges, all round really nice place to stay in a pleasant area of Munich. They don't really understand how the English take tea!

Great location, near U-ban, very friendly staff, very good breakfast and the room was big enough and clean! Much better location than all the other hotels that are crowded near the hauptbahnhof train station

Lovely buffet breakfast - lots of choice, all included in price (most others I looked at charged extra). Nice clean room. Helpful staff. About 15 minutes form centre of town (Marienplatz) so easy to use as a base for sightseeing. Whilst not completely central, for the price this was a good location. Was able to leave my luggage at the hotel after we checked out so we could collect it later. Nearest u Bahn under 10 minutes walk away - from there could easily get to Hauptbanhoff and Airport. Our room was for 3 and consequently did not have much space in it. Fine when sleeping, but a bit of a squeeze when getting ready for bed. As we were out most of the time this didn't matter much.

Location is good, staff are accommodating and friendly - breakfast buffet is outstanding. We were dismayed to find that the hotel allows smoking in some of the rooms - this should be made clear on the website. Our room had a strong smell of musty smoke, and as the hotel was fully booked we couldn't switch to another room, nor could we keep the window open all night in December. I have chronic bronchitis, so the bad air did make it hard to breathe. Other than this, the hotel was good - the smoking issue needs to be clarified on the website.

The location was very good, fairly central but on a quiet street and close to the English Garden and Hofgarten. The breakfast buffet was considerably better than at otherwise comparable hotels. Reception staff were consistently friendly and helpful.
