Located across from the famous Porta Nigra Gate, this 4-star hotel in Trier offers air conditioned rooms, Wi-Fi, and traditional food from the Rhineland-Palatinate region. A casino and gym are on...

When we ask for a double room, we dont mean a twin with the two beds put together... That means someone will end up sleeping in a gap... Not confortable...
A clean and nice hotel. Quite close to Porta Nigra.
Meanwhile WIFI didn't work well.
Walk to the train station, Porta Nigra and shopping, restaurants. Extraordinarily friendly staff. Morning staff at breakfast went out of their way to provide fast service with a smile and extraordinary English.
Lime green shag carpet in the room.
Not exactly in the center, but only about 5-6 minutes from the Porta, and with convenient free parking. Hotel and room are modern and look clean, which is nice. However, there is a strange smell in the room, possibly from the carpet or the cleaning solution (other reviewers had mentioned this as well). Breakfast was pretty good, with good varieties.
The worst thing is the Wifi, which didn't work at all on the second floor (our room is about in the middle of the second floor), and the evening staff didn't know how to fix it at all. We had to sit in the lobby in the evening to use the Wifi. I am not sure if it ever got fixed, since we only stayed one evening. There is a strange smell in the room, possibly from the carpet or the cleaning solution (other reviewers had mentioned this as well). The shower glass is only half, so water can spray out and drench outside the shower. To be fair, such shower seems to be a common design in this part of Europe.
Excellent staff. Spotlessly clean rooms. Comfortable quiet rooms. Generous and varied breakfast. Just a few minutes walk from the Porta Nigra. Would definitely stay here again.
Location, comfort and cleanliness of rooms, excellent breakfast, great price/quality ratio.
Nothing, everything was just perfect
Cleanliness and location of the hotel.
My twin room was large, bright and clean. The bathroom was spacious. The continental breakfast was excellent and not expansive. It is a 3* hotel of german quality in the best sense of the word.
Spacious room and bathroom. Friendly, helpful staff. Only a 10 minute walk shopping and restaurant district. Would stay at this hotel again!
A little scary walking back to hotel at night, but it seemed to be a well-traveled area.
Quite. Comfortable bed.
Wifi wasn't working.
Cleanliness, new, breakfast, Staff
parking not included in price. TV channels only in German.
Great location, good price and good value with car parking facilities at the back of the hotel. Good wi-fi access. Decent breakfast as well so no need to go outside looking for something to set you up for the day.
No character and just functional, which isn't a problem if you're out all day. My partner didn't like the bed but I found it fine.
Sehr freundliches Personal sehr sauber
Frühstück in Ordnung
Excellent breakfast and modern rooms. Despite the central location very quiet.
Well organized community, very clean, polite people, very informative historical sites
I had too little time!
The staff were very helpful and located us on the ground floor due to mobility issues. Breakfast was good value for 8Euros
There was a strange odour in our room but a room spray dealt with it.
We stayed for a few nights last year and were so comfortable we came back for another visit. Excellent value, all we needed for a relaxed, fuss free stay in a lovely and interesting city.
Easy access and on iste parking, nice clean hotel, accomodating staff, good breakfast, Five minute walk to Porte Nigra Roman Gate.Ten minutes ot favorite Trier restaurant
nothing really, met expectations, street is so so but upgrading is going on
We had a family suite -kids had their own room above ours, accessed via a spiral staircase. They said this was really cool! Very clean, comfortable and great use of space. Fabulous shower too. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Enjoyed breakfast - good continental selection and tasty. Walking distance to both train station and centre.
The bed is wonderfully comfortable. The best sleep we had during our holiday. The room is very spacious and the bathroom is large and modern. The addition of a small fan made the room that much more comfortable during warm weather. Parking is available and convenient. The hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. We wished they had availability so that we could have stayed an extra night. Overall a fantastic hotel.
Nothing. It was a very pleasurable stay.
Renovated and new. Modern, spacious rooms. Very comfortable bed. Good location, relatively close to historic center. On premise car parking. Helpful staff and good breakfast. Free WiFi
No AC ! Ground floor rooms a bit noisy, both from corridor and from outside, as people walk past your window to the car parking. Especially irritating in the morning...
Hotel was very modern, clean, and quiet with comfortable beds and a great breakfast buffet. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself is a short walk from the main sights of Trier. We really enjoyed our stay here.
The showers were very quirky--the ultramodern design of a single glass panel and no curtain or shower door meant that the floor of the bathroom became puddled with water after the shower was used.
Great internet. Location Clean Good beds
On a busy street No a/c, so noise potential. Breakfast is extra
Very helpful staff
No tea making facilities
the hotel was in a very good location - about 5-10mins walk to the city centre. the hotel is also surrounded by quite some stores which is handy (see negative comment). the room size was decent - it was clean with plenty of plugs which i always appreciate. the wifi is alright, the downside is that you need a unique password for every machine you use. overall its a decent hotel if you plan to spend lots of time outside of the room. there is barely any English channels on the TV and they don't provide any alternatives (like a dvd player and some movies/shows).
the most annoying feature is that there is no minibar or coffee/tea facilities in the room - not even a water boiler. so you are forced to buy your own drinks which is fine but no fridge to store it in - same for snacks. I personally don't care if they don't stock drinks/snacks in the room but at least a fridge and a water boiler is basic. At the price you pay for the room I think this should be standard. In the morning it was a terrible hassle to just get a cup of coffee - no one wants to start their day like that. limited tv channels in English was a pain but typical for Germany in general.
