Score from 298 reviews Good
For what is clearly a 70's style hotel it has been tastefully renovated & is bright and clean in all the public areas. Lift only goes to the 2nd floor but the renovation makes taking your bags up to the 3rd floor an easy task. Staff are very helpful. Easy access for parking.
wifi was playing up and no guest could connect.
Friendly staff and good breakfast.
The only thing I missed was the availability of a coffee machine ( I know they are not as good as the real thing ) rather than having to always go out.
Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Not comfortable when it is hot. No air conditioning and most rooms face west.
Pleasant comfortable hotel with all the essentials including wireless internet. Breakfast was good value.
Lengthy walk to the train station.
bed, bathroom (shower, no tub)
no air condition
The hotel is centrally located with walking distance to the city center. Good parking, easy to access (but you pay for it). Very nice, large modern rooms. Helpful staff and very good breakfast.
Easy to connect to WiFi, but no coverage at all in our room. Could only connect in the reception area.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was superb. We had a family room with a second room on a second floor connected by a spiral staircase. The kids thought this was spectacular. They loved having their own attic room.(they wanted to know if we could get one at home!). The best hotel we have ever stayed in, and we travelled the globe. Absolutely phenomenal!
room was spacious, clean and modern
breakfast not included
Big room, nice beds.
Expensive breakfast, not worth the money. Thereis a bakery just 50 yards from the hotel,
Modern, clean and within easy walking distance of trier centre (which is beautiful). Very friendly staff and best family room we came across whilst travelling through Europe- 2 separate rooms with 4 proper sized beds but open plan so you can hear the kids of they are young but private enough if they are older - excellent bathroom- top breakfast for 8 euros
The staff were absolutely wonderful; they could not have been more helpful and gracious. What an asset they are! Our room room was very comfortable and larger than we expected. We were very grateful that the room was quiet. The breakfast buffet was lovely, and there were many choices. As with the other staff, the breakfast staff were cheerful and helpful, We were delighted with the hotel and recommend it to everyone.
There was not enough parking. One night there was one spot left, and my husband and I had to spend 20 minutes to try to fit our standard-size car into the space. A small matter, but the hotel is not quite "ante porta."
Located just outside the center it was still a few minutes walk away. Great room with terrace facing courtyard (no traffic noise).
During warm summer evening room was quite warm to sleep.
Wonderful friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Very nice breakfast buffet. Thank you for the room fans.
Large bright room, good breakfast, helpful staff and very clean
Noise from street outside our room ++
Fairly close to the station and old town. Modern bathroom.
Weak wifi reception. Hated the lime green shag carpeting as it retains a moldy smell. No air conditioning, so it was a bit stuffy even with the windows open and fan on.
lack of tea and coffee
rooms, location, value for money
breakfast no overly exciting, nothing that looked like home made.
Very clean. Good sized comfortable room. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good location. Good value.
Overall comfortable, efficiently furnished, especially shower (better than in a typical 5 start hotel). No useless wellness stuff, but all what normal traveller really needs.
I cannot find anything relevant.
excellent value. no frills, but all we needed for overnight and more than *** breakfast
From hotel to old center it takes few minutes by walking. Room was very clean, which is most important for us and beds were quite comfortable. If you compare to other hotels in west europe the breakfast with fresh bakery is very good.
Nothing to dislike. Area seems in the first look not so good, but just the image is so , Trier is very secure city.
everything EXCEPT the parking area
parking area left much to be desired - almost impossible to negotiate
Very clean and modern. Lovely large bed and just close enough to centre for walking to be comfortable. Very good parking facility.
We chose a room away from the street as it can be noisy. Sad to say, the very extensive building work on an adjacent site to the rear of the hotel started around 7.30 am and went on quite late! Breakfast was adequate rather than good - I usually love German breakies!
Location near Porta Nigra, value for money, new and clean.
Great position, relative to town centre, shopping and attractions. Excellent breakfast.
