Apart-West  

Good location - U bahn just minutes away. Comfortable, airy apartment in a usually quiet residential street (see also dislikes!). Two excellent restaurants very close by.

The apartment was situated above a Lidl store (very handy) but there was a downside as deliveries to the shop started around 6.30am.

The location of the apartment was fantastic and was so quiet. Everywhere within Berlin was in reach from here either by walking or vis the underground which was 5 min walk away. The cleanliness of the apartment was very good too, our bins and towels were changed 3 times in a 4 day stay. When reception was closed there was a phone to call the staff so there was always someone to contact if there had been a problem. Lidl below the apartment was great and also the italian close by which was very welcoming and did lovely food! Would defo stay here again when i come back to Berlin.

Very clean and simple. Comfortable bed. Spacious, plenty of natural light (except in the kitchen and bath), windows that open, quiet neighborhood. Trash is removed every day and clean towels are brought every 3 days. The kitchen is excellent, plenty of cookware, nice dishes, toaster, dishwasher, everything we needed was there and it was spotlessly clean.

The bathtub is quite tall and would be very difficult for some people to safely enter and exit due to slippery surfaces and no safety bar to hold on to. One of us was recovering from a back sprain and it was quite tricky to get in and out of the bathtub. Perhaps a low step stool and a non-slip tub liner could be offered for those who might need it. Also, the shower partition is really quite inadequate in size. Water tends to splash everywhere and one must stand as close to the end as possible while showering which makes for a less than comfortable experience. With such a wonderfully big tub, it is a disappointment to not be able to shower comfortably. Also, the kitchen needs more lighting.

Apart-West was great! Staff are very helpful and friendly. Apartment is modern, well designed, spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Loved having breakfast outside on the sunny balcony. Supermarket next door is very handy, and plenty of restaurants and cafes in walking distance. Close to 2 u-bahn stations. In October with the windows closed it was really quiet. I don't think there's any air conditioning, so in summer I would ask for a unit that faces the shady courtyard at the back rather than the street (which would probably be too hot and noisy in warm weather).

Free wi-fi is unpredictable with many dropped connections and gaps. This service was a major reason for choosing Apart-West and we were disappointed. Issues with the shower/bath unit: the screen is completely inadequate and it is impossible to avoid getting water on the floor. The bath is very slippery and deep so it is hazardous getting in and out - I recommend providing anti-slip mats. The apartment was spotless, but it would be good to provide a broom for quick clean-ups (regular cleaning is only once a week).

Quiet location while very central. The apartment was exactly as described and had all of the facilities one needed, including very comfortable beds.

Quite, clean apartment near to metro, supermarket and two descent restaurants. It also had a usable balcony.

Could do with a brighter light in the kitchen. Pillows very soft.

very clean, have all the things you need in the apartment, good internet connection, bit out side of the main seeing, but it is ok to walk, the street to zoo are good place for shopping. free parking outside.

bed and pillow are the worst in all those years of travelling, it make ka-ka-ka sound all the time, bed also too soft on my side, but bit hard on my wife side, strange..... the pillow is too soft as nothing... what I mean? it mean you dont feel you sleep on the pillow... dont expect good sleeping quality to be good. the street are quit, but you live with locals, and two night party of my 5 days stay, it really make lot of noise, difficult to sleep, and my baby was weaken all the time by that.

Great apartment - large, airy, good-size balcony, spotlessly clean, plenty of space for clothes. The apartment was well equipped with hair-dryer, shampoo/body wash, iron, safe, dvd player, fan, coffee-maker, comfortable bed. The apartment complex itself was very quiet during our stay. It's located in a nice residential area which feels very safe and which has good transport links (it's close to two U-bahn stations and K'damn buses). Check-in was quick and staff were very pleasant.

This was a return visit to Apart West and it was as good if not better than the first time as Alex was most welcoming when we arrived. The apartment was modern, clean and bright and the kitchen was very handy for preparing light meals.There is a microwave and two hotplates and a reasonable size fridge which served our needs. We used the Lidl supermarket downstairs to pick up our breakfast and lunch supplies and used the laundromat also in the same building to catch up with some washing and drying. Many restaurants are within easy walk and the streets surrounding Apart West are suburban areas with lots of trees and a few small parks and feel quite tranquil. The use of the free house phone to organise taxis to airports etc was appreciated.

Alex was extremely helpful with email queries and gave us maps and local insights when we actually arrived. The apartment was bright and clean and with a modern kitchen in which to prepare our light meals. Salenta - Pizzeria Trattoria was only a few doors away - excellent italian meals. Laundromat was right next door and Lidl - like Aldi was on the other doorway. We were only a few blocks away from Armani and other top end stores as well as heaps of quality cafes and bakeries. The apartment is in a tree lined suburb and within a few minutes of bus and underground links. There is a lift and internet access and local phone calls are free to guests. Although we were here when the weather was hot and humid there was a fan and the doors and windows opening onto the verandah can be locked and left ventilated

- Spotlessly clean - Perfect location, just 300 meters from Kurfurstendamm and from an underground station - Possible to park the car free of charge in the street, which is a huge rarity for this part of Berlin - Russian speaking staff

- Apart-West occupies just 3 (or 2) levels of a 8-floor building, so you get to live next to locals, who in general don't seem to be too happy with coming-and-going tourists. - 100 Eur/night would have been a more justified price, when the facility has no on-sight restaurant/bar, 24hour reception desk, gym or any of the other extras you would find in a 4 star apart-hotel

for a family with young children , space as well as kitchinate are important which are excellent in the appart west . convieniant store and a bakery are down stairs. free parking helpfull staff , east chek in and out. 24hr use of computer and fast net connection. if u have your car this place is ideal for family.

Very clean and light appartment. Looks just like on the pictures. Well equipted kitchen, dishwasher, free internet. Towels changed every third day and floors vaccumcleaned every day. Underground garage ( 14 eur. pr. day ). Quiet neighbourhood. 500 m. to underground station. Next door to a LIDL supermarket and a laundry. Close to Italian and Indian restaurant.

The double bed was a bit soft in the middle. The kitchen need a bread knife.
