Nice location on Prenzalauer Berg. Parking garage (in Kulturberei) around 10minute DRIVE from location. Nice owners but when you don't know german language (or russian) there may be some trouble with communication - but nothing that cannot be overcome. Price for an 8-night stay was really good.
Flat on 4th floor (high ceilings so quite a walk every day! :) ) with no elevator. Parking garage (in Kulturberei) around 30minute WALK from location. Really small kitchen. Too small for 2+2 family (we are 2+1).
Nice terrace overlooking street. Two large bedrooms with double beds. Quiet location very close to public transport (5-minute walk) and shops/restaurants. Very helpful and accommodating owners, despite language issues (spoke Russian and German with very broken english). Clean and tidy apartment. Good internet reception.
Nothing to really complain about - everything was satisfactory. Be advised that cash is required upon arrival and that there is a 40 euro cleaning fee (to be paid separately).
Lively area, not too far from centre, good transport possibilities. good clean apartment but the door hinges need some oil !!
Local Parking costs 15€ per day. That's a lot of coins !!
Good location, near metro and S bahn station. Supermark and restarunts near by.
price, location, facilitity
The appartment we had was very small, but location was excellent.
Great and comfortable apartments. Very good place to stay with nice price.
Great location. Great view. Very comfortable and clean.
No lift. Was on top floor.
This apartement was not far from the U-Bahn.
The bathroom was dirty, instead we had to pay for the cleaning 40 euros. This apartement is on the back front of the house, so it wasn't bright. On the pictures of the site was an other apartement, which was more modern. We were 4 there, but there was only 3 normal beds and one on the sofa.
We liked the location, and nearby tramp, metro and s-train. Free parking in Stavanger Strasse!! We used the balcony to the flat very much. Bathroom and kitchen ok.
The madrass in the twinbed were "Kaput". The madrass in the other room was ok! We dident know, that we had to pay in cash as soon as we arrived. You ought to write it in the bookingpaper!!!!!
Great spot with excellent connections, on line to the airport. Clean, modern apartment
Wifi wasn't working but they did everything they could to fix as quickly as they could. Router was broken so it took a while. One of those things I guess and all working fast afterwards
No WiFi !
Great location in north Mitte, very close to U bahn and 2 tram lines stations. Within few minutes ride of AlexanderPlatz and Hackeshe Hof. Very quiet apartment on first floor looking into inner court with all the facilities. Stayed ther a week and felt like home.
Apartment owner speaks very little English. Excellent German & Russian. One too many armchairs.
I stayed in the apartment on Malmoer Strasse, so I can only speak for that one. For the money, I think it would be hard to find a larger apartment. The front room and bedroom were vast, with good views down on Berlin. The trams stop practically outside the front door of the building, and are regular and frequent, giving easy access to all of Berlin. The actual area is very pleasant - not particularly loud but fairly lively. From the bedroom window, there is one of the few surviving sections of the Berlin Wall easily visible, so you don't have to travel far to cross that off your list of things to see! There are a few decent supermarkets and some pleasant cafe/bars within easy walking distance.
Unfortunately, this apartment is in a lovely old building, which means there is no lift. As the flat is on the fifth floor, this becomes an issue very quickly. Still, nothing the owners could ever do about that. Be warned that only cash payments are accepted, which I doubt many people would expect these days. As a result, I paid as much as I could on my first day, and the rest on the second which left me with virtually no cash for two days (at one point it was said that I wouldn't be given the keys until I had paid in full - fortunately that did not happen). While this was inconvenient, I suppose I should've checked whether card payments could be taken before I arrived, so I take some responsibility for that. On the other hand, when the owner came for the second part of my payment, it appears that he didn't consider the possibility that a tourist from a non-Eurozone country might not have the exact amount. As a result, I never did get my six Euros change. Not a huge amount, but it did leave a bad impression. Also, the downside of the tram stop being so close is that the trams do make a bit of a racket at night when they go to thew depot for the night. However, after the first night I can't say it was a problem. All in all, I would have happily stayed there again if it weren't for the fact I never got, or was ever offered, those few Euros change. The small points make a LOT of difference. Hopefully the owners will ensure that never happens to anyone else.
Very quiet place!!Very cooperative staff( they accepted our early arrival)! The room was very clean and had all the appropriate facilities(chairs, lights, ironing board etc etc) to feel comfortable.
we stayed at Christburger str. 17. 1)No Elevator..We have to carry our heavy bags to 4th or 5th floor. 2)wi-fi service was not working properly..3)there werent any bed sheets, but only underlay layers..
Very nice, quiet flat next to a metro station. Spacious enough for two people and nicely furnished. Great, lively location not far from a centre, with many public transport opportunities and various shops and restaurants all around.
I am not sure whether charging us for the "cleaning fee" was necessary for such a short stay. The stove worked, but probably not completely, as it wasn't able to boil a pot full of water. There was no microvawe oven.
Brilliant location Very helpfull staff
No washing machine Very squeaky floor
Beautiful old apartment with high ceilings. Very spacious (plenty of room for family of five) and well equipped.
Unable to connect to a wifi network.
Kitchen well equipped, close proximity to shops and metro station, good shower
1. Very small TV with only few German channels, 2. NO Internet ! ( if we knew that earlier we wouldn't have booked this apartment ),3. There were not a toaster, a microwave or CD/DVD player as they advertise. 4. We asked for 2 beds but during our arrival only 1 was prepared ( second one was made from putting together a sofa and a table with mattress on top of that ! - it was too high and sloping ) We'd expected basics like a proper bed and the Internet for the price of 77 euro / night.
We enjoyed our stay a lot! The flat is cozy, clean, comfortable and is greatly located! The house is quiet and looks safe. As does the nearby district. Btw there are lots of restaurants, great shops and other interesting places to visit around, and Prenzlauberg is famous for that. There's everything you need in the apartment, all possible things. And the beds are comfortable. The flat was warm enough, though I'm not sure it'll stay that way in winter (just heard that it's cold in such buildongs in Germany in winter, so you better ask the apartment staff), but mid-November it was very warm inside. Wishing all the best to Apartment Bln!
No big complaints. There was no internet connection during our stay. But the owner was very straightforward about it and he suggested that he would compensate for the absence of the internet connection with a bit lower price for our stay. We were warned that the neighbours downstairs asked not to make any noise after 10 P.M. - including basic stepping on the floor. We were supposed to glide on the floor after 10 P.M. I'm writing it just to let the future guests know so that it doesn't disturb you - since no complaints came during our stay this turns out to be an exaggeration because of course we couldn't glide all the way through the apartment in the evening.
Lovely owner greeted us on arrival to apartment with map and local information. Sat down and explained everything in apartment and left us soon to explore the city. Wifi always worked. Best nights sleep in the bed. Very clean. Great location - close to all trains and met. Would definitely stay again!
No English channels on tv. Toaster unfortunately didn't work after buying bread for the morning. That's all.
Staff was very nice and friendly. Location was great - close to subway to get around city
Not enough space. There was no space to unpack our bags. They offer studion for 4 people but there is no space for more than two. Otherwise studio becomes one big sleeping bed. TV - no channels in English
Location, comfortable beds, equipped kitchen
Be received by a person who barely spoke English / German, be asked to leave the apartment before the time of check out (at the end, we left at the previously scheduled hour). It was very hot during our stay and the sole fan (tiny) provided was not enough, even to create a breeze...
