Big room. This was an appartment and not a hotel room at all. No shampoo/conditioner/soap. Only one towel (hard like an exfoliating sponge.) No room service. Supposedly free WI-FI but poor signal in the room. There was no way for me to charge my I phone. (no computer in the room and a very old TV) I had to beg to charge my phone in their main computer everyday which was uncomfortable. There was no customer computer in the Lobby. Breakfast was only until 10 am! The poor lady who works the main counter is also the server for the breakfast.

A very good place to sleep, very good quality for the price you pay. Nice, clean, very comfortable appartments. The wireless Internet did not work when we came. And as we got a "simple" appartment, there was no kitchen, which we did not know before.

Very clean and pleasant facility located in an old charming neighborhood of turn of late 19th early 20th century estate homes. The apartment had a good sized family room, separate bedroom, nice kitchenette and large bathroom. Highly recommend. The wi-fi didn't work on any of our two laptops or our iPad at first but email messages did get picked up overnight somehow. No elevator for our 2nd (European) story unit.

The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge.and very modern. I had asked for a room on the ground floor for my husband who had recently had a hip operation, but there weren't any rooms available on the ground floor and we were given one on the third floor. The apartment was very pleasant and spacious, but the kitchen was so small that you couldn't fit more than one person in there at a time. There was neither a microwave nor an oven so it was impossible to heat anything up. I thought it was too expensive at 125 Euros a night for the 3 of us (on Dec 29th and 30th) considering it was quite a long way from the town centre, about a 10 minute walk to the tram stop and then another 10 mins on it.

My apartment was lovely - it was clean, very big, and very comfortable. The kitchen has a proper fridge, two hot plates, enough crockery and even a table where one can sit comfortably. The bathroom is very big and can easily be used by two people simultaneously, since it has two basins. The bed is big and has a good mattress. The wardrobe is also big enough for two travellers. I hope to return to Dresden soon and will definitely try to find accommodation at this hotel first. It is one of the nicest places I have stayed at in three decades of travelling, and probably the best value for money I have ever had. I was there over the Christmas time, ie, in winter. The kitchen didn't have a heater and sometimes it was too cold to sit there. Perhaps the management can put a small oil heater in the kitchen in winter.

I was absolutely free to da what I want. I mean, the staff didn't bother me much which was my desire exactly. The room is large, comfortable and has a great view through the french windows, which is extremely european and gives one increadible feelings when wake up.

This hotel was ideal for a short city break. The room was spacious and comfortable , and for a little extra access to a kitchen is possible , which is great for self catering. Even if you don't opt for that , there is a good breakfast to be had in the hotel dining room. The staff were very good , friendly and helpful. I couldn't recommend Altstadtperle enough , it's well worth a try. A bit far from the city centre , but if you've a car it's not a problem and the city's transport links are good , so don't let this put you off.

Cozy place; large room; large bathroom; quiet surroundings; 4-5 min. walk to tram no. 12 station to city center (6 min. by tram); 5-6 min. walk to 2 large supermarkets (rewe and rossmann) uncomfortable bed and pillows; cold building during night; no safety box; expensive breakfast (we did not include it in our room reservation)

This was easily one of the more spacious apart-hotels we have stayed in, with 4-5 proper beds (no need to use fold-out sofas) with a good amount of living space and pleasant furnishings. It was located in a very quiet street and we had an excellent sleep without any disturbance whatsoever from street noise or other guests. Some really good restaurants are within a couple of blocks and we enjoyed an excellent evening family meal at a Greek Restaurant nearby. The Hotel breakfast was fine and the staff friendly and helpful. Overall this hotel represents excellent value for money and we would readily stay here again. If you're looking for a place where you can prepare meals, then this would not be such a good option. The kitchen is fine if you only need to pour cereal into a bowl. But with no microwave, toaster, jug or even a sharp knife to cut anything with, it really is very basic. It certainly suited our needs, but we imagine others might be disappointed.

Very kind and helpful staff. Nice neighborhood with lovely villas. Although it's a bit suburban the tram stop (#2) is only 5 minutes away. With that the very center is only 10 minutes away. And it also goes during the night. Ticket costs 2 Euro during the day and 6 for night rides. The double room was made out of an apartment. Only the kitchen and the second room was closed. Has great Wifi and breakfast. Although our room was on the first floor between the reception and the dining hall facing the road, out nights were completely calm without any disturbance.

If I got better bed, I would give more point, and recommend to other for family to live there. Big room, big bath room. But nothingo . The important thing for me to stay at any hotel is just good sleep and good location. Here, location is not bad, just walk 5-10 minutes to get tram to old city. But the bed that I got is so bad, can't sleep well. The hotel should improve this point. It would be better.

Bardzo dobre śniadanie, mało zróżnicowane ale świeże. Pokoje dostatecznie wyposażone. Blisko do przystanku tramwajowego. Daleko od centrum. 20 minut od ulicy knajp studenckich. Cicho, ładna okolica, obok przedszkola. Duża sypialnia.. Bez problemu z miejscem parkingowym (darmowe). Zadbali o nowożeńców. Polecam ale samochodem. Biednie urządzone pokoje, malutki telewizor I brak atrakcji I obsługi wieczorem. Brak jakichkolwiek udogodnień tylko b&B. Spać jeść i jechać do miasta.
