The first time I stayed here I was so happy that I came back. The second time the great vegan breakfast was even more clearly labelled, making it really easy to navigate the breakfast buffet. Very friendly, professional staff who remembered my preferences from 6 months ago.
The hotel is nice and clean. The staff was kind and helpful. The room was nice although the bath looked like a little old. It is near the train station and 10 minutes walk from the Rathus.
Near the hotel there is a zone with night clubs
Location Welcome Apple Sauna
Friendliness people at counter; clean and quiet hotel
Hamburg as a town
Too many beggars near the Central station
It was near the train station, the staff was friendly and spoke fluent english, the room was very clean, modern and confortable. It was also very quiet. Wifi worked very well.
The bed was too soft.
Modern, very clean, well maintained Hotel. Good Breakfast, good choice. Friendly, polite staff.
Walk to Hotel a little on the seedy side, especially during darkness. May not be idea for families but was not too much of an issue for us personally.
Location, comfort, cleanliness
Unfortunately we found it very difficult to get served at the bar, the bar staff had their favourites who got served straight away whereas our party had to wait at times over 45 mins to get a drink and some of us going elsewhere as we were fed up of waiting to be served!
Good breakfast, quiet
Wifi access is slightly complicated first time, but works okay
Location, confort, price
Two beds instead of a queen bad
location, clean bath room, bed, etc.
Free WiFi (kostenlose WLAN funktioniert gar nicht !!)
Nice lobby and friendly staff. Room was very modern with daily cleaning.
Light through the windows from the corridors
Close to main trainstation and other transport. Decent rooms. Looks nice. Excellent breakfast. Great Finnish style sauna with good showers and plenty towels. Helpful staff. Fairly well insulated from outside noise, if window closed. Easy 24h access.
Airconditioning was noisy, even at lowest setting; I used earplugs to sleep. Lies next to a busy road, open window at night probably a bad idea. Wi-Fi was horrible, with an annoying portal login every single *&^( time I came back to the hotel. And again in the morning. Not to mention the slow speed - at times, it didn't even work at all. Didn't try the supposedly faster 5EUR/day access, but since it shares the same Wi-Fi infrastructure, my guess is it will only be faster if everyone else is asleep. Please invest in better quality internet, instead of investing in an annoyance to pince an extra penny out of customers - I wonder what your ROI is for this nonsense anyway. It's 2015, for Pete's sake. The good news is, I didn't come to Hamburg for internet access... The way from/to trainstation is seedy, with gambling parlors, sex shops and the occasional street prostitute, but did not feel unsafe. Minor thing: there were not enough bathrobes for everybody. Seems easy to fix.
Great rooms, great breakfast, fine location, fine small wellness center with view. Great bar and bartenders.
The lockers in the wellness area did not function so we had to drop using the sauna :-( The breakfast restaurant personel could be a little more smiling for a hotel in this price range.
Breakfast was excellent. Room was very clean and a good size with a safe.
The street the hotel is on. But if come down the Laing Raine (a lovely street with nice shops cafes and bars) and across to the hotel near the Bistro Cox it's much nicer.
I would say: good facilities, big and comfortable room, walking distance from any place I wanted to reach. I appreciated that breakfast is served on weekends until 11:30 and sauna facilities are open until 23:00 or midnight. Overall: very good value for money.
I personally don't find the furniture particularly charming but it is a matter of personal taste.
Good location,confortable rooms
Very comfortable and large sized room.
Nothing at all.
-room -bedcomfort -breakfast -fitness
-shabby location -strange hotel entrance, no lobby -is definitely not worth 4 stars -hotel lacks some warmth, some identity
Very nice room, comfortable bed. Close to train station.
Excellent restaurant, outshines the hotel.
Pushing 2 single beds together remains a twin, it does not magically become a double. Duvet provided was for a single bed. Hot water is best described as warm. Only piece of non-cardio equipment in fitness room is chest-press machine.
Clean room, close to the central station, friendly staff, free internet.
Breakfast was a bit too expensive
- Easy to reach by car and public transport. - Excellent breakfast buffet. - Wellness area with three different sauna cabins. - Good beds. - StadtRAD (bicycle) hire station nearby. - Nice bars and restaurants on the Lange Reihe.
- Two out of three mornings they had a problem with the warm water. - The Steindamm is in a typical area "behind the train station". - Parkhaus Berliner Tor (€ 10,- a day) is cheaper than the hotels own parking (€ 16,- a day).
Nice location, rooms, breakfast
All was nice!
The location is good, only two minutes from the subway stop. The staff is very friendly, the hotel very clean and modern.
The parking garage is very narrow, the double bed consists of two individual matraces and one has to wait long for the elevator sometimes.
