Very efficient, flexible and friendly service. Good breakfast buffet. Very good value for money and unbeatable location.

I would optimize space in the single rooms by choosing a chair that actually fits under the desk. Plumbing could be looked at, as it can get a bit noisy- maybe you should just check out room 109.

Location

I didn,t like that there was no reception after 22.00 hours. There was no coffe service after breakfast, also the reception area was locked in the morning when we were leaving and we have to carried our laggages through the street to meat our Taxi.

The hotel is rather ageing

After our plane was delayed and we have arrived to the hotel around 12 P.M. we couldn't check in because there was noone at the reception, although we have indicated a late check-in (around 11 P. M.). After ringing the bell and calling the office for haf an hour we have decided to look for another hotel.

Good location helpful staff

Excellent location: less than 10 minutes' walk from the Dom yet situated in a quiet area so no disturbance from the outside at any time. Rooms compact and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Ideal for a city trip where most of the time is spent out and about sightseeing.

No hairdryer in the rooms was a bit of a shame, but a minor point and only poses a problem in winter.

It's a good location for sight seeing and shopping. Besides, arde is near railway and tramway stations.

The movement controll of elevator should be improved, if possible. The service of breakfast should be earlier.

The location was 5 minutes walk to the dom. Staff were friendly when available (which was about 20% of the time)

The first sign I saw once I checked in was "No food or drink allowed into rooms unless purchased from hotel" which is quiet pathetic and unacceptable I thought.Clearly this info was not given to booking.com. Rooms are extremely small with 30cm between toilet & wall so close to impossible to use comfortably. Power went out in the hotel on my first night and was told bad luck & will have to wait till tomorrow. Got moved into another room where heater did not work and there was no cold water. I was going to ask for help but guess what... The staff go home at 10pm, so therefore I froze all night. I couldnt sleep all night as the pillow has pretty much no padding and is just a cover for nothing. The walls are extremely thin so everything can be heard next door. I would definilty not recommend the hotel, extremely poor facilities with silly rules.

The rooms are rather little

Superb location in the heart of Cologne, within easy walking distance of all major sites. Comfortable, clean room, with an excellent breakfast and very helpful staff.

Some of the room facilities are a bit worn, and there was some trouble with water leakage. But nothing too serious.

The hotel was clean, convenient and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was great.

It needs sprucing up. It is very basic in this day and age and dated.
