The Hotel CityInn is in central Cologne, just a 7-minute walk from Cologne cathedral and the main train station. It has simple rooms and a daily breakfast buffet, as well as free Wi-Fi in the lobby.

Great breakfast, and the location is only a couple of minutes walk from a tram stop, but is far enough away that the rooms are very quiet.
WiFi reception in the rooms was quite poor, and the door locks can sometimes be tricky to open.
Tv did not work, bathroom old and dirty.small single bed could not even strech my legs.no facility at all.worth hotel ever I stayed in.no one at reception after 9:00
Location to fair
Everything else plus it was a building site

Wifi didn't work in the room
It was good value for money with free Wifi and breakfast
Nothing nearby apart from a LIDL
Value for money
Night time noise
Free wifi, nice breakfast, proximity to public transportation
Small tv, beds too soft
Clean and tidy. Good price for what was provided.
A long way from station. No curtains to bedroom
Friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast, clean rooms and comfortable beds.
Early check out ( 10am), renovation woks
The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is good. The staff is also nice.
It is a little bit far of the city centre. The tram takes around 20 min from the hotel to the city centre. The tram runs 24 hours, every 20 minutes.
Very kind service! You ask and will do their best to help you! Room was with all you need for quick passing by in Cologne! Definetly would recommend to anyone else Arkadia Hotel.
It's near from the exhibition center, about 15 minutes walk
Room is very very small, bed is extremely uncomfortable at all, there's no room service, no lift, you have to carry your bags through the stairs, no telephone in the room, very old and very poor furniture, cupboard is broken, WIFI signal in the room is very weak, if you want to have water, you have to walk to the nearest supermarket about 10 minutes,
The room is in front of the stairs which made my sleep terrible...
I have been travelling to Cologne for 30 years and this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel had employed decorators and gave them a 'dormitory' in the loft; just above my room. They made so much noise I didn't get to sleep before 3am. This not combatable with a business trip!
Location near the Cologne fair
An overpriced budget hotel with no services and no qualities except the location. The room was really small, no hairdryer, no space for the luggage, an old television placed on the only chair and cables plugged all around.
I think some people are too harsh for this hotel. Of course it's not a four star Hilton but it's not bad either. Good price, nice staff, good breakfast, rooms cleaned every day and less than 10 minutes by foot to the Kölnmesse.
The wi-fi signal was a bit weak. Church bells and crows, but no one can do anything about it :)
Di prima correteza Seconda servizio
The breakfast spread was quite good.
Location too far away from Kolnmesse. Around 2+ KM away. Nothing much around the area except for a Kebab place (which is quite good) and a supermarket. No other restaurants around. Very quiet area and may feel a bit unsafe when walking back at night. Public transport is a short walk away but cannot reach the main train station where most of the activities are.
The room I stayed in. The fact that they don't serve food or drink (only breakfast). There wasn't any mention of the church bells that start very early in the morning either! The icing on the cake is that I was told that the hotel & bar next door was 4-star and sister hotel to the arkadia, and served food and drink. I went to that hotel, and I asked for a beer and was told that I couldn't have a drink as the bar was closed (it was 9.30pm). When I asked why I was told that the bar manager was off ill and the receptionist couldn't get me a beer - not even a bottle from the fridge (her reason was that if she got me a beer then she'd have to get the other 10 guests a beer too as they wanted drinks too). So then I asked for food, and was told that they don't have a kitchen! I asked if it was a 4-star hotel, to which the receptionist replied "no it's just a hotel that was given 4-stars by the owners..." My inner frustration became a case if trying not to laugh as I mentally re-enacted scenes from Fawlty Towers in my head (if you haven't heard of Fawlty Towers then google it). I was given a takeaway menu so tried to order a kebab and a beer. 10mins later I was told by another member of staff that the takeaway establishment had run out of kebab! I asked for another takeaway menu and after 10mins I left the hotel to go back to mine as they couldn't find another menu and I had to get to bed as my flight was the next day and I had to be up at 4.45am for my taxi to the airport. The cost of staying in this hotel was around €950 for 3 nights and as I went specifically for an Expo, I will be sure to book as far in advance as possible next year for an alternative hotel that's actually a proper hotel - not like the Arkadia by Centro.
breakfast clean rooms value for money in a peaceful, safe area
fair trek from the city centre
I was treated very friendly and the room was clean.
I had some trouble finding the hotel at first. A sign at the metro/U bahn station directing customers where to go could improve Hotel Arkadia's findability. However, the people I came across while searching for the hotel were more than happy to help me find it. But ss you cannot always count on people to be there a street sign would be a great solution.
the rooms are cozy and the neighbourhood is ok
the receptionist how they disinfect the bathroom
Great Budget accommodation without the frills. Clean affordable rooms.
WiFi could be better?
The room was newly remodeled, which will be nice, when it is complete. The bed was also very comfortable. Short walk to the tram. The staff member who helped us at check out was very friendly, and apologized for our room lacking any sort of window covering.
The lack of a window covering due to room remodeling. And we received absolutely no warning about it before going to our room. When we went to the front desk to ask about switching rooms or getting something to cover the window, we were told that we should've known there would be no window covering because the building was under construction. He told us that this was stated on the website, so I checked, and found nothing. After being offered no other solution (all rooms were booked--understandable, as it was CSD weekend), we found a sheet that we could use to cover the window to have at least some privacy. The hotel obviously can't do anything about this, but if you are a light sleeper and are there for the weekend, the Sunday morning church bells might be a bit annoying.
Really clean place, comfortable and quite cozy
