Score from 39 reviews Very good
Very helpful and friendly staff. Great setups of rooms and furniture. Great mountain and green areas view.
I liked everything about this hotel
No mini bars in the rooms.
Very spacious and cosy rooms. Very nice spa. Quiet location with about 5 min easy walk to the centre of the village. The large local public swimming centre is also in walking distance. Wonderful breakfast buffet. The food from the restaurant for dinner is plainly fantastic. Very generous portions, typical dishes from the area, but also excellent steak and standards. Far above average and truly supreme quality. We spent a few days at the hotel and enjoyed it very much as a starting point for walks in the mountains.
Everything was good except the WIFI connection...
WIFI was down over half of my stay and only 10% of the time did it operate at average speeds.
The hotel was in walking distance to the town. Appreciated the lovely bathroom with robes and slippers. Very friendly staff.
Breakfast buffet was not replenished. There was very little cheese on the plate and only one slice of lox at 9 am. What we did eat was very good, especially the wurst salad.
Location in relation to the facility I had to be. Staff is helpfull, however undermanned.
Wi-Fi is poor. Only parts of the hotel you have a good connection.
Everything except my minus comment.
The only thing I was not happy about was my communication with the hotel prior to my arrival, particularly with one man. I needed to do some individual arrangements (arrival outside check-in hours) and I sent to the hotel 2 emails and also an iquiry via their web page announcing this fact but without any response, which was not a big deal so far. So I decided to call them. I expect the hotel to tell me that there is no problem about my late arrival and they come up simple solution. BUT despite my positive expaction I received the answer from that man, that arrival outside check-in time is not possible, literally saying "we are not a five star hotel" and other "no comment" stuff. At the end he said something about some of possibility and promised me to send me an email with the instructions where he will leave the key for me. Didn't send anything. I decided to cancell the reservation and go to another hotel but unfortunatelly it was too late for free cancellation. Right in the morning of my arrival day I called them again to reassure that I can come. Bad luck for me becuse the same man picked up the phone again but immediately after he recognized who he must deal with passed the phone to very nice and polite lady - very likely owner of the hotel. She assured me that there is absolutely no problem to come so late and eventually we arranged everything smoothly and finaly the stay in this hotel was very good and I can recommend you to go there but try to speak to a lady if you need to arrange anything unusual. That man is not doing a good reputation to the hotel which beside of this is really nice to stay in.
This hotel is very different from our last stay at Christmas time. The person who owns the hotel.... Is also the chef. Unlike the pleasant experience we had before where the manager welcomed us with beer and wine at the cozy table in the entrance, the owner is rude, barely looks at you when you speak to him. We waited 2 hour for dinner on Father's Day, with my 85 year old parents. They had 1 waitress. When we complained, the owner said, "this is common in Europe". I travel all over Europe, and this is not common, it is bad service! My advice... Hire your staff back.
Internet access was broken and staff was not in a hurry to fix that
The Hotel was perfect for us, the food was excellent, The Staff superb, and in all the Hotel was Good Value for Money, we will return,
Good breakfast. Wednesday schnitzel night is excellent. Nice walking distance to NSO.
Hi. So the location is Suberb if you are a student at the NSO. If you wish to be "Down Town " O'gau, this is not for you. I liked the place a lot. For internet connection please do remember to bring your own "cable" or ask for it at the reception. The "WI-FI" is really not working. With the cable, like a charm
small room for 4 people with a very nasty smell !!!
Very nice family hotel. Simple but very clean and very convenient (20 mn from Garmisch P.). Great breakfast. Very easy to park (private but free)
Issues with a number of rooms! We have been reallocated to a partner hotel
Had an amazing stay over Christmas. The staff were all very friendly and the food was delicious - very large portions too. Our room was small but very comfortable. The town is only a short walk away (10-15 minutes)and there's a path behind the hotel which runs along a stream, leading both into town and out towards Laber Mountain. Would definitely stay here again.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, we chose the half-board option ,the food was fantastic in both variety and quality, the portions were very generous
Everything! Food was very good, staff was extremely helpful and the cleanliness was unmatched. There is a SPA on the premises and the internet service was fine. Really like a bed and breakfast or staying with relatives. Tremendous!
Having to leave :(
Cosy, Home like. Nice staff, personal service Good location if you attend the nso courses At least I had a Great good room. And food is excellent ( Do not try the Blood&liver Sausage though)
- Excellent location with magnificent views - Superb food - Quiet & comfortable rooms
- That my short trip was over and I had to leave
Cleanliness, friendly staff, nice breakfast with HOMEMADE jams. Beautiful sauna area with steam room too.
Staff was very east to work with and changed our room to accomodate our small dog. Oberammergau is a beautiful little town and worth a stay, The food is wonderful and hiking in the area is breathtaking.
The personnel is extremely friendly; the Hotel is very tidy and nice and breakfast is good
The Hotel is located quite far away from center of the town and even further from train station - good 15-20 min of walk
Familiar room very comfortable and clean. Fantastic breakfast. Surroundings of the hotel
