The location is good and the rooms are spacious. Design is good, but the carpet will have to be changed quite often if you keep it in light grey colour.

Cleaning has to be improved.

Cleaning staff appeared in our room a number of times without knocking well before checkout time.

Close to the trainstation, old part of town and dome. Also close to a an interesting newly developed area. The hotel also has nice design and is quiet and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Has a sauna which is great after a days walking in the city. Excellent breakfast!

Breakfast was not included in the price and the price of the stay is a little on the high side.

We were staying in xl Art room overlooking the River Rhine. It was well worth the money, as we booked well in advance. Tram stop very close, easy to reach Koelnmesse, shopping area/centre only 15 min. On foot. Room size was great, and clean. Added bonus: coffee maker (tablet). If you need a taxi to the airport, just walk towards the Chocolate Museum and across the road. Fare is approx 24-26 Euros to Cologne airport.

Basin in bathroom is not really practical

Hotel is modern and on the Rein river. I had a second floor corner room with a good view of the river. It is about a 15 minute walk to the main train station and Cathedral but there is a bus stop outside of the hotel.

We paid to have a riverside room. And, yes it was river side but we didn't have a view of the Rhine.

They have a very fashionable-designed restaurant offering delicate asian food with young and good looking waiters/waitresses.

The dirtiest hotel room I have ever stayed... I was wondering whether they had really cleaned the room after guest checked out. Bathroom is special designed but not convenient. The art atmosphere is not nature.

The room lacked cleanliness. Some sort of splatters all over the wall behind the bed pillows, more splatters on the wall in the bathroom. Funky stuff around the bathtub glass. And ALOT of really long black hairs all in the sheets and bedding. The bed mattress was so hard we barely slept. I did let the staff know about the room....they offered me a coffee, but i declined.

What a nice Hotel !! Art is everywhere, even in the bathroom, and the Korean artist (SEO) is absolutly talented. This hotel looks like a Museum of Art Modern. Moreover staff (hotel + restaurant) is very nice helpfull. We have been upgraded. I recommand both the hotel and the restaurant to you.

We loved the breakfast and the happy, sometimes cheeky attitude of the wait staff. Liked our water view as wetland the design concept quite modern and minimalistic. Loved the south Korean artists work displayed in entry and dining area.

While we get that the ultra modern mini a list design called for white and light design The room carpets unfortunately looked quite soiled due to the use of a light grey and white combo. Unfortunate.

Very spacious rooms with a coffee machine and tabs. Very stylish hotel.

The parking is expensive at 17 € per day ( same price for garage or exterior which is not logic)

Have stayed in Cologne for business over the last 10 years each year and this is the nicest hotel I have stayed in. Modern, bright, excellent friendly staff with good English and information available. Rooms, spacious bright clean and fresh, couldn't even hear a door close on the corridor! Views of the Rhine from your room, excellent breakfast, free wi-fi everyh where too! Cant wait to stay here again :)

The ambiance in the hotel is lovely, very hip and airy, very relaxing! Lovely location along a quiet side-line of the river. Gorgious rooms, fantastic beds, slept like angels after lots of shopping and city-walking, great bathroom, warm floors, nice bath. Fabulous staff!!! Great location, not too far and not too near the busy center and trainstation, just perfect really. Great breakfast! Will definately return to this hotel!

The only negative thing was the huge breakfast crowd on Sunday, breakfast-room is not large enough for this hotel, we had to wait more than half an hour to be seated! Staff was very sorry for this, so we didnot make a fuss, but it definately is a flaw in the hotel planning.

I loved the room, very cool. One of the main reasons I choose this hotel was the on site parking. I know in a city like cologne, parking is at a premium. The fact that it was garage parking was an added bonus.

Hotel was very easy to get to from the main train station, only 20 minutes walk away along the river. Room was very comfortable and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. lovely hotel

Just about everything. Staff, location, hotel room, bar, etc.

2 little things - when we arrived there was only 1 single duvet on a king sized bed. there was a second single duvet in a cupboard. Also a better quality toilet paper would be expected from a 4 star hotel. not recycled sandpaper. Just seems like there isnt too much thought into comfort in fine detail.

I had stayed at the art'otel in Berlin and really like the concept of featuring a specific artist. It makes you want to learn more about that person and his/her works. The staff was terrific and the food in Chino Latino was fantastic.
