A great place to stay! The staff at the hotel were very friendly and really helpful. The hotel is also in a good location for a visit to Aachen - if you want, you can probably walk into the town centre within 30mins (or take a 5min drive). Also, the opening times of the Spa are great (from 6am to midnight!) and breakfast is served at very good times (starting at 6.30 til 10.30). The rooms were huge, modern and very comfortable and we found our stay there very relaxing and would recommend the hotel. Everything was very good and there is nothing to complain about. But some recommendations would include: We'd suggest to go for the "Bistro buffet" - this is served outside the main restaurant and you can select from typical breakfast choices (E.G. bread, cereals, eggs, drinks etc.) and it only costs 7 eur P.P. The actual buffet breakfast is very good as well but people might find it a bit pricey at 15 eur P.P. Also, make sure you ask for a non-smoking room (if you want one). There is plenty of on-street parking available in the area, so no need (in our view) to pay for the hotel's garage. And finally, yes - if you do want to use the kitchen in the rooms, you do need to bring your own pots, glasses, cutlery etc. as this doesn't seem to be included in the "normal" room set up (but then - we didn't actually ask at reception for this as we only stayed for one night).

The room size was enormous, the breakfasts were amazingly good & the staff very efficient & spoke excellent English The tv s were not set up to receive an English speaking News channel - in fact it was a waste of time having two tv s as we could not use either. The Hotel directory was only in German & as the quality questionnaire was in English it was frustrating that we could not read the directory. The sound proofing could have been better we could hear the lift wining & another guest was watching tv until after midnight which did disturb us a little. The biggest disappointment was having changed to go in the pool & literally just stepped in the swimming pool another guest arrived with 4 children who proceeded to jump in & "dive bomb" my daughter & I. These children had 2 inflatable toys & their father did nothing to stop them screaming & splashing us - so much for "Wellness Oasis"!

Big, spacious suites with kitchenette and large bathroom and shower. The kitchenette was unusable because there was nothing in it. Not a fork, not a towel. No coffeemaker, nothing to boil water with. We bought paper plates and napkins and tried to eat in, but it was frustrating.

The room was large and inlcuded a living area, kitchen, and bedroom. Had plenty of room to spread out including a balcony. Had black out shades as well as curtains. I usually don't complain about beds, but this one was very hard with uncomfortable pillows. Was a few miles from the city center on a hill, so we needed to drive into the city.

Excellent value for money, this is as good as any 5 Star Hotel. Clean, modern rooms with superb facilities. I would happily recommend this hotel and hope to return for a longer stay in the future. If you have a Van or Motorhome you will probably have to park on the street as the underground car park height restriction is too low and there are only about 5 parking spaces outside the Hotel ( the surrounding area appears to be safe ).

As a Past President of the American based World Clown Association (the only non-American to hold that post) I was commissioned by the W.C.A. to present the great Russian clown Oleg Popov with the 'Life-time of Laughter' Award. By arrangement with his English speaking wife I stayed at the same hotel. It was great experience for me to meet this Legend of the Circus who has been a hero of mine since I first saw him in 1956.

We stayed there for sylvester 2 nights. The sylvester evening in the restaurant was great. But the cleanless of the room wasn't enough for a 4 star superieur hotel.there were still drinks etc in the kitchen from the guests which stayed there begore. Bathroom wasn't cleaned enough.the service was ok, nice and friendly.

Very spacious family room, actually consisting of a separate bedroom and a separate big space with a double sofa bed, a kitchen, big windows and a french window to the garden! In addition, an entance hall, a large bathroom... Overall clean and comfortable. And we could easily park the car in the neighbourhood rather than pay for the hotel parking. The facilities in the bathroom are less than expected for a 4-star hotel. While the stay was really good value, everything else seemed a bit too expensive, especially breakfast and internet. Overall, the decoration and atmosphere is not as 'luxurious' as you would expect from most 4-star hotels, but not bad in any case. If you drive the centre is not far, otherwise take into account that the hotel is in a suburb.

The service was exceptional. Though we were just there a few days, the staff seemed to recognize us quickly, and to anticipate our needs. Because it was located one block away from the home where our daughter is living for a year, it could not have been any more convenient for us to stay when we visited her. The only difficulty was making our breakfast in the morning. We rise quite early, and like a very light breakfast of just cereal, so we thought having the small kitchenette would be perfect. The problem was lack of kitchen supplies and equipment. We had to ask for a hot water kettle (which was quickly provided) and we had no bowls for cereal, or mugs for coffee.

I pointed out to my gilfriend how quiet it was in the room quite a few times.I Booked a room on the second floor on the night between the 2nd and the 3rd of december and it seemed like there was none else in the hotel. The morning after we did not even realize that it was raining outside. It was so quiet and peaceful in the room. The staff was very helpful. They satisfied all my special requests (room with bathtub, two glasses of champagne)and they helped me out how to find my way from the Hauptbanhof to the hotel using buses. The day after they were also kind enough to print out a paper for me with the info on which buses to get in order to go to the Thermal Baths Bad Carolus. The bedroom and the furniture all looked very classy and cozy. The room was very big and spacious. The bed was probably the biggest double bed I have slept in.There was also a quite big balcony. The location. It is not in the city centre and you need to use buses (one ticket= 2,40 €) otherwise it's quite of a walk.If you come by bus from Hauptbanhof and get off at Marienhospital then it's at least a 5-7 minutes walk from the bus stop to the actual hotel with all the luggage behind.

The room and facility were absolutely superb ... top notch. 10x better than anything that I've experienced in the past year, traveling weekly. The staff were friendly, helpful, and engaging. Amazing breakfast buffet with an incredible assortment. A bit of a walk to the markets.

Clean, as German places can be. If you want an efficient, clean place with comfortable bed, this is the place to be. Quiet, residential area. This could be considered as a disadvantage as well as it is not in the immediate proximity of the city center. The hotel is clean, has all the necessary amenities, but it looks a bit like a hospital, definitely not comparable on the "feeling" with the standard 4-star hotels.

We had a really lovely stay at art superior. It doesnt look much from outside and the inside is a little 'art nouveau' but the rooms were amazingly large - we paid for a double and had a suite! The pool and sauna on site were great added bonuses. As was the independent spa next door that fitted us both in for massages as short notice. The food in the restaurant was a little uninspiring though. We went out for a walk one morning to the forest veyr close by - fantastic as was the little play park opposite the hotel to wear out the two year old. Wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and the town - lovely little weekend away! The food was uninspiring and one member of staff simply rude (it seemd she was the manageress).

The rooms were lovely and spacious and nicely, if sparsely decorated. The cleanliness and the helpfulness of staff. It was not difficult to find parking in the area. The balcony. The neighbourhood is quiet and tranquil. It's not too far from the city centre by car. The breakfast is varied and abundant. The bathroom could do with some surface for placing one's toiletries close to the wash-hand basin and in the shower- the shelving available is inadequate, also, a hook to hang one's towel closer to the shower. We were in a room where smoking is allowed, yet there was no ash-tray. There was no safe in the room, as advertised.

“We visited Aachen for the Christmas market and the hotel's location was excellent for this and also for other shopping areas. Although on a main thoroughfare we had a room overlooking one of the side-streets and it was quiet, the double-glazing very effective. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly and there were tea etc making facilities in the room which is really nice on a cold winter's day.” Kathy, Fareham |
