It is really more arts and rest. The price is reasonable good. There is no city map. Breakfast is good, but cost Euro12 seems bit expensive. There is no air-condition, and then which hotel is not good to stay in summer holiday.

sauna in the room general cleaning and purity of the hotel is not the best. If sauna is in the room, I would expect some slippers not to walk barefoot.

All the staff were very friendly if a little laid back. The price was good. ..the Hotel certainly does not comply with the standards of a 4* establishment. The room was satisfactory although the bed was not properly made the sheet was simply laid on top of the mattress and not tucked in. The drinks tray consisted of two glasses, 1 small bottle of apple juice and an Aldi sachet of coffee. A kettle was also to hand. The tray was not "serviced" for my 2nd nights stay. The TV reception was bad. Why a fridge and a two plate cooker were in the room is a complete mystery to me. The bathroom was good with an excellent shower. "Missing" were the following, shampoo, bathrobe, slippers and the towels had certainly seen better days! On two occasions I asked at the reception if I could order a cup of coffee. Not possible! As I say, definitely not a 4* hotel but for the €45 per night for a single room was a fair price in comparison to the €3,50 for a cold Cappuccino bought extra in the restaurant during Sunday breakfast!

The wacky artefacts and design were a lot of fun, both in the public areas and some of the rooms. I didn't have an "artist" room myself, but there was a quirky leopardskin spotted chair in my ordinary single which was a bit mad. The bathroom was outstandingly luxurious for the price - a full bath, bidet and lovely tiling. Breakfast was expensive but actually good value if you took full advantage of the array of stuff on offer. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, and the dish I chose at the restaurant, while nourishing, was convenience food defrosted and heated up I suspect (triangular pieces of fish, and frozen mixed veg). I expect there was homecooked food on the menu - I probably was unlucky. The decor in the restaurant was as eclectic and arty as elsewhere in the hotel, so that offset my disappointment at the dull meal. Also, on the dot of 10am the staff started clearing away breakfast - possibly because they had a conference party coming for lunch or some event or other - but it wasn't relaxing for anyone who came down to breakfast just under the wire, and you would have to move very fast to get your money's worth!

It looks like 2 stars hotel, everybody from my (20 persons) group was asking how they manage to achieve 4 stars?!!!!! The ceramic tiles in the toilet were painted, and the old paint is sticking to your foot. Every single day the access cards were blocked for most people of the group, they had to come back 1-2 times to the reception desk to solve the problem. Every evening! In the entrance hall was a plastic bucket hanging on a wire, to collect the water dropping from the ceiling. For 3 days! In some rooms you are entering the room trough the toilet. Unbelievable!

The atmosphere. It really feels at home. You can feel that the owners are very driven in the way they do things. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant Chagall as well, the best restaurant we had diner in, in the three days we stayed in the environment. The room was BIG. Beds were a little old, good but could be better. Everything else fine. The hotel lies close to the Schwebebahn and the Ruhrgebiet. We traveled from Wuppertal to the Emscherpark. Very nice environment. It would be better to include breakfast in the price.

Service: internet, tv, space in the room, design of the hotel Really hotel in general Price is worth The light in the bathroon is automatic.... It's not really useful and if you stay too long in the bath, you are in the dark. I would not stay in this hotel in Winter, it must be cold.

Hotel has many individually styled artist rooms and a variety of art as well as an exhibition inhouse. Rooms can be quite large, our Hamam room even had two extra wooden bath tubs in the living room, next to a large bathroom. We enjoyed a few quiet nights and the superb breakfast (12 euros extra).

This Hotel is the worst Hotel which i stay. Espically bedroom is terrible. I stayed this Hotel and morning I paid a price via cash. Then 2 hours later Hotel staff called me and Said that 'you are didn't pay, give me a creditcard number''. I answered that ''I paid cash and I have a reciept.'' He didn't believe me. I went back from 60 km and I show my reicept. The Hotel staff said that 'okey'. I asked that ''although I paid cash, why did you call me?'' The staff didn't say ''excuse me''. You don't stay this Hotel never. İf you stay, you save your receipt absoletely. You never give credit card number.
