A hotel with touch. The whole hotel was created with passion and style, gay with a kitsch and fun. The interior is partly handcraft and high quality, the service is friendly and smiling, breakfast is a nice mixture with partly organic products

It was very cheap and surprisingly good. Attentive and welcoming staff, smart design, big and tasty breakfast. Lokated right in the gay area, which is also in walking distance from main tourist spots. If you are looking for good value for money, stay at this hotel. Gay or straight.

Art Hotel connection is a small boutique hotel. It is situated on the 3rd floor of a facinating old mansion apartment building, which is on the corner of two interesting tree-lined streets. The local area contains every type of restaurant from Japanese, Thai, Italian, German, Spanish, to suite every taste, as well as the famous Ka De We department store. The staff at the hotel are extreemely accommodating, friendly, polite, and professional. They cannot do enough to help. Breakfast is served up until 4pm, and more or less on request, and is more of a brunch. The rooms are large, with original wooden floors, large beds, and are well decorated in a trendy style, but keeping original features, including floor to ceiling wooden windows. The whole hotel is decorated in an opulent style, with chandeliers gilt mirrors, and art work everywhere. It is very clean and tidy. With two people staying, you get two sets of keys, which is very useful. I would recommend going to the resaurant on the top floor of the Ka De We store, and getting a table near the windows which have far-reaching views, or walking to a beautiful nearby square called 'Viktoria Luise Platz', which contains a park with a fountain in the centre, and nice nearby shops and cafes. Sit in the grass and watch both locals and tourists at leisure: facinating! The hotel is really two long corridors of rooms. There is a small reception desk near the entrance, and a small breakfast room at the end of the corridor. There are no communal areas apart from the dining room. However, you would use this hotel more as a base to explore from, and really only sleep and eat breakfast here. There is no bar area, but in reality this is not needed, as there is a pub next door to the building's entrance, and what appeared to be a night-club in the basement level of the building. Neither of these create audible noise in the hotel however. When it is hot, windows would need to be opened due to lack of air-con, and would let in some minor street noise. This is not an issue at night, as the streets are pretty quiet. If you are planning to be out at night and asleep in the day, this may be a minor issue.

Outstanding service! Incredible friendly and helpful staff. Very clean rooms, and very well located in town. Good WiFi connection in the room! Standard I had two normal drinking glasses on the room. When they noticed I opened a nice bottle of wine in my room, the next day there was a wineglass next to my bottle... Now that is what I call taking care of your guests :) I just loved the place, and the people working there!

Great value for money. Never stayed before in a gay hotel, but will definitely consider again: very clean, staff is very friendly, nice touches throughout hotel (touch lamps, full size mirrors, reading lamps, nice carpeting, modern showers). I've read complains about WiFi in other reviews, but during my stay WiFi was working properly. The location is good as well (next to KaDeWe for shopaholics) and just a few stops away from Potsdamer Platz. I cannot believe i was paying EUR 49 to EUR 59 for a single room in the center of Berlin during Berlin Festival. Totally loved the hotel, and will stay again. maybe use slightly higher voltage lamps: at times it feels like the lights are too dim in the room.

This is a super place to stay and l would recommend to anyone. Rooms are comfortable and staff extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent value and served at any time to suit you. Very well located for the gay nightlife and other excursions. Only wish is that the common practice of checkout at noon would be re-instated. Along with many other places we stay at these days the time has been changed to 11am. Cannot fault it for its service, comfort, location and value. But bear in mind it is on 3rd floor and must be accessed by a lift. Not a problem for 99.9% but for those who are picky it may be a problem. You would miss out on a little gem of a place to stay in Berlin.

As a gay hotel, the staff was very helpful in point out venues of interest. Breakfast was good. Staff courteous and friendly. No reading light over my bed...but I suppose most of the guests don't stay home reading.

The hotel is very central. It is close to many of the bars and clubs for the evening's - or indeed the day's entertainment. I was given a very warm reception when I arrived and throughout my stay. It is comfortable and the staff extremely pleasant and accommodating. The decor chic, the breakfast plentiful. This hotel is perfect for the mainly male clientel who want to stay for either long or short breaks. I will certainly be staying there again!
