art'otel dresden by park plaza

The lcoation of this hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the old city centre, where most tourist sites are located. It is also close to a train station, Dresden Mitte within 5 minute walking distance. For travellers arriving by train at Dresden HBF, they only need to change the local train from there with only 2 stops. The hotel provides green apples for free in the ground floor waiting room. The artistic design of the hotel is very pleasant and colourful. The staff are very helpful and polite.

The room only provides one chair without arm rests. This is not sufficient at all. In the hotel lobby is a computer with internet service at a charge of 0.36 Euro per minute which is too much. It has a convenient cafe restaurant on ground floor, but the breakfast is 14 Euros per person and this is expensive to me.

It was very comfortable.

City trip, visit a concert in the evening

We liked the hotel because it was different. We liked the clever designs in the room and the imaginative use of mirrors in the bathroom. The art work although not to my taste reflected what the hotel was trying to achieve.

Nearest to the tram and train station. Close to the scenic spots. Good Artistic desgin. Clean and tidy. Quiet.

Very cool artwork, interesting rooms. Within walking distance of Frauenkirche and Zwinger. Didn't want the buffet breakfast and liked the idea of the coffee shop, but the shop didn't open until 10.

Location, tho only a 10 min walk to Zwinger, was a bit "out of the way". Nothing between the hotel and central area.

internet access: free but very very limited

I very much liked the design of the hotel and the rooms. The layout was functional and attractive. The bed was comfortable. I am very glad the windows could be opened and I did not have only aircon.

I wanted some breakfast but don't eat any more than some muesli and yogurt and fruit. So my breakfast was quite expensive. I don't see any way round this though!

The hotel is amazing, very good design,clean and staff were great.

My husband and I had a lovely stay in the art'otel Dresden. We stayed 4 nights, had a wonderfull and filling breakfast, walked only 7 minutes to the Zwinger, the Residence and the Frauen Kirche. Since the weather was unfortunately miserable, we had 2 relaxing evenings in the hotel sauna before having our dinner. All in all, a very satisfying stay and well recommended for young and old.

Mitarbeiter alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Nähe zum Stadtzentrum gut. Hotel war sehr ruhig, keine Nebengeräusche vom Nebenzimmer oder vom Flur. Eine liegengelassene Holzkette wurde sofort kostenlos nachgeschickt.

Der Preis für das Frühstücksbufet mit 14,50 Euro total überzogen. Durch Beantragung einer kostenlosen Mitglidschaft in der Hotelgruppe zwecks Punktesammeln oder Rabatte konnte man dann für 9,50 Euro frühstücken. Nicht die "feine englische Art". Ein liegengelassener Pullover im Zimmer wurde nicht gefunden.
