Thanks for suite room when arriving midnight.
Looking for parking place.
good breakfast and parking in front of the hotel
the hotel is far from downtown e altstadt. the room is old, the wi-fi very slowly. The night staff is rude
Amazing hotel 3 - 5 minutes walk to Dusseldorf HBF and the underground, will definitely be back
I liked most the professional attitude of the staff and also the comfort of the beds
I didn't like the fact that there was not a pool or evening restaurant.
Hotel was very good clean breakfast was v good Japaneses and western staff is excellent and much helpful location is very good near Dusseldorf hbf 4 Min walking and also not much far from City shopping area 13 Min walking over all I enjoy my stay in Asahi better than Nikko hotel compare with price Well equipped room, they have free internet in lobby WIFI
wifi not working with some mobiles and working with others they do not know why also me
Excellent service from the reception. Room was tidy. They had some small gifts to celebrate Japan day. The bed was super. First time I loved the blanket and pillow in a hotel
The value for money breakfast isn't that good.
After a call nearly a week before my stay for cancelling 2 nights because of change in my meeting programme, they didn't confirm per email the cancellation, and then charged me 90% no show fee.
Scruffy in places
Small shop for snacks right next door to hotel and an easy walk to the train station with many shops and eating places. We enjoyed our stay very much. The parking spaces in front of the hotel can be reserved but have a locked bar/gate so you must jump out and enter the lobby for a key before parking. The staff was very helpful.
Everything in general.
The Wifi sometimes did not work.
Generally a much higher standard than I was expecting.
Room rates very high due to trade fair.
They were so kind as to post back a folder I left next day. I was really impressed.
Parking (not free) right in front of the hotel.
A/C remote control was missing; Shower facility - cheap - which made the shower experience a disaster. I expect more from a 4 star hotel!
Lacation and value of money is good.
Enjoyed Japanese breakfast but eur18 is too much far from reality. Parking system is complicated. Hotel should ask if customers come by car, instead of blame them. Shower booth is separated by curtain only.
Wifi was very poor. Very slow with limited capacity. Only good for sending e-mails. Barely qualifies as "Free Wifi".
The staff are very helpful and the breakfast is worth the money.
I found the orange juice in the mini-bar of the room is out of date (expired at least three months ago!), what if we did not check properly... Also, the decorative bedspread that is usually laid on the end of the bed has stains on its white side. For a four-star hotel, I found details are important!
This is how internet should work in all hotels like it did in Asahi: free, fast and simple to connect. Bravissimo. Good location for business. Interesting East meet West breakfast.
Bit tired rooms and could be tidier.
- There're Japanese staffs available at reception at most of time (only not available at midnight) - Simple Japanese breakfast (rice, miso-soup, nori, nattou, hijiki and some tsukemono) - Well equipped room, free wifi, trouser presser, hair dryer, tefal, some tea & instant coffee - NHK TV program - Parking available just in front of the hotel, very convenient access - Less than 10 minutes walk from Dusseldorf hbf station - Convenient access, walking distance to many good Japanese restaurants - Asahi Newspaper (Japanese) delivered to each room, every morning - Not very cheap, but more reasonable than Nikko-Dusseldorf.
- Japanese breakfast is good, but would be better if they have some more (like grilled fish - yakizakana). - Shower-holder broken on the 1st night (but on the 2nd day immediately repaired)
Hotel staff and location
Recepcionist at time of my arrival, late at night was very helpful, speaking very good english, which is not always the case in Germany.
Excellent location. Good cleaning, as long as you put the green sign on the door.
The room was very warm yo sleep (during winter). We turned off the only heating we could find (in the bathroom), and it didn't change anything. I had to remove the blanket from the cover and sleep with the cover only. The water in the shower doesn't get as warm as I would like. In general we were a bit disappointed because it definitely doesn't feel like a 4 stars hotel.
Price & room Size
The hotel has great presentation throughout , the staff were very professional and smart
I'm Japanese, but for us the services were fantastic which is as same as the good hotels in Japan. And location is closer to Station and also Japanese area.
