old poor quality mattresses
Good location, close to U-bahn or bus 200 which goes via Potsdamer- Platz to Alexander Platz. Very close parking for cars. Some restaurants around - few minutes walk only. We can recommend this hotel.
Near from the congress Room is big
Staff are not very proficnal
Location to trains, S & U Bahns, and buses excellant.
Quiet location. Always friendly welcome from Reception staff. This my seventh visit.
Main staircase has needed refurbishing for years. Carpet, handrails etc. Not a good impression on first time visitors. Breakfast adequate, but choice seems to grow less each visit.
Very good breakfast Helpful staff, speaks English very well Value for money
Room at the back, preferred a front facing room
Considered the price we paid we could not have asked for anything better!!! The location was perfect....just around the corner from Kurfuerstendamm and subway stations in 2 minutes walking distance! The room was very clean and spacious. We asked for a latte check out on Sunday and were able to extend our time till 12pm!
Check your bed mattress room number 17. Need to change mattress.
Very good location. Near to a major transportation hub and walking distance to Ku'damm. Good breakfast.
The bed mattress was old and making a lot of noise even at the slightest movement in the bed. Told the reception and they told that it would be checked but nothing changed. There were some stains in the carpet.
Most stuff except if you wanted to buy anything from the showcase difficulties were put in your way .
The noises in the night from working outside.
Very confortable and central
No bar. Very quite
No air condition. Besides everything ol
The bathroom was modern and the room height was great. We liked the pool.
We felt the room was a little dated and the construction on the street was annoying (but nothing the hotel could do about that).
Well located as, despite being very close to main transport and the zoo., it is in a quiet street. Room and en-suite well appointed with roomy shower.
The lift broke down over the weekend and, as we were on the 5th floor, that could have been an issue. However it was repaired early on the first working day after the public holiday weekend. No air conditioning - which is not normally a requirement I want - but as the external daytime temperatures were 33-35oC the rooms remained hot at night. However a fan was supplied in the room which was beneficial.
The location is great- close to the S +U Bahn, restaurants and sights. I'd stay here again. Bed was very comfortable. Free wi-fi. Decent hair dryer and 5x extendable mirror in the bathroom. Liquid soap pump next to the sink and in the shower. (No tiny bar of soap)
The fan in the bathroom switches on automatically with the light. The noise was irritating. There is a safe in the room but it's not free. No a/c but was told that in summer a fan is placed in the room. The room was large and perfectly adequate. The shower stall (with sliding doors) is a bit small. If you are a large person it might be uncomfortable taking a shower. (Room 24).
Nice and cozy hotel. The breakfast was great.
Great value for a single room.
No entertainment TV channel in English. Only english news.
The internet was free but when I asked for a password again they said we can give you only once. Next time you have to pay 5 euros. There was construction going on outside the hotel. If the hotel wud have informed me I wud have not stayed. Very poor hotel
Location, room interior, helpful staff
A nice quiet hotel in a good location offering excellent value for money.
Wifi coverage in my room was poor
This is a small and simple hotel. The location is excellent. The rooms are simple but clean. Overall, good value for money.
The furniture in the room are quite old.
location, staff, value for money
parts of the hotel a looking very tired. needs a bit of a revamp with its carpet and small details.
Have stayed at Astoria many years back and it was lovely to see the old staff recognise you and welcome you so warmly. Great location, short 5 minutes walk to station and city centre. Good value for money.
we were 3 girls who visit for 5 nights. the room was nice and clean and the beds was comfortable. but.. the service was not good at all. -the hotel receptionist that works on morning (i have his name) was really not nice to us. every morning we told him good morning and how he feels and he always said the same answer- i really busy... we just wanted to be nice!!! but the biggest thing with him was that my friend lost her bag on the train so when we came back at night the other guy really help us and told us he will update the guy who works at morning and he let us call. when we came at morning this guy told us again that his really busy and he cannot let us make a call from him because he need the phone for a possible income reservation... that its such a rude altitude!!! we are the guest now and we need his service. he sent my friend to call in our room and then she comeback and told him that the lost and found is in german and she need his help. he finally agree. really disappointing.. when we ask at morning for a couple towels because we didn't had he asks if we use everyday 5 towels.. its really not his business..
