Like stepping back in time, but the lady that runs it was so lovely, friendly and very helpful. The lift has to be seen to be believed! The room was basic, but clean, quiet & comfortable.
to dark in the entrance
+ great location, near the Savign square where one can find restaurants, bars and cafes +very friedly staff
the public spaces need refurbishmet
Courteous staff, excellent breakfast, good location.
Everything was nice
Great location. Tube station near by. Airport bus stops out front. Nice breakfast. Large room. Good staff.
Poor wi fi in rooms. Wi fi works well in public areas.
The hotel is very close to the Kudamm Shopping district and has a friendly and accommodating staff. The breakfast was good also. Our room was large and had nice views of 2 gardens.
no excess to wi-fi on 3rd floor
WiFi not work
Noisy room with very little noise insulation. Uncomfortable bed. There are many much better options close to Kurfurstendamm.
Breakfast, staff contact, quietness of the place, easy connection by foot, bus, S Bahn, U Bahn, train.
My room could have been a bit bigger. and have a higher table in order to write on it.
Outside street noise at night, in addition building activities which started at 6:30 in the morning which created morning noise
The old German lady in charge the reception desk treats us really nice and pretty informative, Thank you. the hotel building itself is quite old but well furbished, room is clean and spacious, and we just love that elevator which is older than the Titanic ship . it might takes you 20mins walk to reach the metro from Hotel if you're middle aged couple like us. breakfast is plentiful but always serving the same items in our 3 days stay.
Wifi is free but sometimes is hard to connect. breakfast needs to improve.
Responsive staff,good breakfast,location
Some problems with furniture
Great location. Bus109 from Tegel stops within 100m. Savignyplatz station is 5min. away and the area has a lot of good restaurants. The room was large and comfortable despite the old furnishings. The bed and bathroom were relatively modern and the electronic key system seemed out of place in such an old building. The lift dates from 1904. Breakfast was fine.
The only soap in the bathroom was in a dispenser in the shower.
Perfect location, friendly staff, simple clean rooms, amazing value. Perfect if you don't intend to spend time in the hotel but want a clean place to crash at night, good breakfast and free internet.
Floors are squeaky and noise travels.
location, room size, kindness of the staff, lift style :)
as personal taste pillow was too soft for me.. a fridge in the room would make excellent
Good room, with space, light.
1 - When back in the evening from work, at the hall in my floor, the light would not lit, as it should - automatically, I had to find my way in the dark. Inside the light would be all right. 2 - They did not change the towels every day, many hotels normally ask if you prefer or not it to be changed (on behalf of the enviroment). 3 - The were economic with toilet paper, the last days you had only one in use. 4 - the second day I was there, when the hotel was fully booked, there was no hot water in the morning. 5 - they did not have a spare pillow when I asked, and did not offer it, when the hotel was less busy.
The hotel was central and in the most amazing part of Berlin, I could have been in London or Paris. The exterior of the hotel is also quite something.
The exterior is deceiving the interior is outdated, the lift and rooms could do with an upgrade. Although I really liked Oleg the hotel director and he was always helpful and that the staff is generally good, the rooms were disappointing. The bed and pillows were worn out, you actually get sucked into the mattress, that's how old it is. The pillows I had to ask for one extra which still didn't help. I also found how the door lock system, which involved both a key card and twisting the handle, tiresome as it sometimes worked and other times you struggled with the door. Towels were not changed and one morning we had no hot water for showering. All in all, it is a three star hotel that could be four star if it is upgraded and they invest in proper furniture and bedding.
I did enjoy the location and the people who ran the Hotel. The breakfast was very good and a had a varied selection
My room was large and not very well furnished, The furniture was tired and mismatched. I paid top bucks for the room and expected better.
Everything was og a very high standard and I will definitely come back again soon.
Location, location, location. Steps away from the Kdam. About a thousand meters. From the Ubahn. Location was great. Frustuck was OK.
Room smelled its age, sketch elevator. Building shared with apartment tenants . Beds could def be updated to something this century.
Very friendly stuff. Very good location.
Nothing serious to be mentioned here.
The location is superb, the rooms are good and clean, breakfast is good for the price, helpful English speaking staff
