The staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeably offering information on places to eat and sights to see. When we realized the extra cot we ordered wasn't in our room, they were very quick to respond and get it in place. The "cot" turned out to be another bed of the same type we had in the room already, so everyone had a good sleep. The immediate neighbourhood, while not that interesting, was quiet, and it was a very short drive to central Schwetzingen for dinner and a look at the beautiful palace. It was a perfect place to stop in order to be at Frankfurt Airport late the next morning. Bonus: my girls spotted someone's pet rabbits on a locked veranda.
Oddly eclectic decor, but that just made us smile.
Reception staff spoke good English The bed was clean
Bar not open Restaurant not open Not enough shower or hand soap The hotel although from the outside and the foyer looked good it was very tired and needs some tlc
- pretty dusty floors in room. - not all lights/bulbs functional - staff somehow polite but withdrawn, not much communicative except "breakfast man" (a student). - wifi "guaranteed" but (ir)regularity of signal as well as the strength defnitely not OK. Clear disappointment. - The management apparently trying to save costs but at individual segments actually chasing customers (repeaters) away. Really a pitty ......
people were smoking heavly, floors were worn and dirty, baths were not cleaned.
Rooms were cold on arrival, no shampoo in the bathroom, breakfast on the limit, food quality questionnable.
Hotel is relatively cheap and clean
There was no bath soap provided and hot drinking water are only available upon request
Nice location, quite good facilities
Staff need to know English at least.... Difficult communication otherwise.
That we are still alive!
This hotel should be shut down by the health department. We could not get out soon enough. Mould growing on ceilings, carpets had stains that were terrifying... Unfortunately we were too late to cancel, and could not find other places. We were prepared to give up our money, but found nothing else. The staff could not be understood in English or German. Other guests were smoking and drinking on fire escape and speaking loudly in foreign languages all night, till 430AM and started drinking again at 6AM. These were the typical guests... It appears this is an immigrant worker facility, it is surely not a hotel. Definitely the worst hotel we have ever witnessed. Shocking that it is actually not shut down.
Not much, except the lady who was very pleasant
Ugly, old, terrible shower, no guests!, desolate atmosphere, joyless breakfast
