The church clock is a problem if you have a room facing onto the street. It chimes (loudly) the 1/4 hours, 1, 2, 3, then 4 chimes, followed on the hour by a full chime for the time. It's very loud with the windows open. At the moment, the hotel has no air conditioning. In the heat wave we experienced, the room was unbearable - they had no fans available. They also provide as standard 1 flat pillow - they hadn't any extra available.
The staff were a little mixed, on arrival we were given insufficient information about the car parking and needed the very kind help of a local lady to understand what to do.
The hotel is very attractive. It is located on the main 'old' street in Partenkirchen opposite the church. The hotel has a great feel. I think in the winter this would be a great place to be.
There is a public car park (hidden) behind the hotel. You need to turn left just before the hotel, go to the cash office, put a 5 euro note in to get a 24 hour ticket, then you can enter the underground car park. There is a rear entrance to the hotel.
