Loved the location-right next to the pedestrian zone, yet right next to bus stop where all 5 bus lines intersected. Fabulous breakfast buffet!!! Loved the view of the church out our bedroom window. Free wifi a big plus.

Had one of the back room bedrooms,--Internet sometimes spotty (til I found the router antenna in the hall way and reset it manually). Tub could be tricky getting in and out--needed one more well placed handgrip.

The location can't be beat! It is just half a block from the pedestrian zone. The history of the building and the decor is just stunning!

Some street noise on nights when we wanted to sleep with window open a little for fresh air. Ear plugs solved that issue!

Location was right in the heart of town, staff was wonderful, the rooms were spacious.

We were only there for 2 nights and stayed in one of the apartments. Though we picked the hotel because of our budget at the time we would definately stay there again. The apartment was spacious and would be great for a longer stay. Food at the restaurant and the breakfast buffet were outstanding. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It made our trip to Bavaria a memerable time.

Lack of elevator in apartments house, lack of bell to the apartment at house entry, need more lights in the apartment especially at kitchen area and in the bedroom - there was no lamp near the bed to read

This great property has reinvented itself and remains the gold standard for the quintessential Garmisch experience. Located directly at ground zero, you could not ask for more. The Post retains its classic Bavarian charm and birthright, but has updated to be comfortable, modern and evocative. Just about perfect. This was the best 3.5 star brunch I've ever had, and it is just fun to be in a place that has hosted so many great folks for so many years.

The Internet signal in our far off room was too weak to use. The lobby signal, however, was really strong and adequate.

The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. They were cheerful and willing to engage in conversation. They helped with information and any requests I had. They tolerated my inadequate german. I would wholeheartedly recommend the hotel to anyone. There was a problem with the key getting stuck in the lock to my door---they upgraded my room at no charge...

Best breakfast buffet we have had yet in our European travels.

Bed was one of the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on, and the apartment was freezing, despite having the radiators turned all the way up.

I like the old charm of the hotel and apartments.

(1) The particlur apartments we were in were out dated by far. (2) There was no telephone in the rooms (301/302). The doors has to be locked from the inside, wierd, but okay. Should of had a telephone incase somebody got locked in.

The staff was just perfect! Very welcoming and polite. A room for skiing equipment. Free sauna. Perfect breakfast. In the centre of downtown, could walk anywhere.

The hotel is a bit tired and dreary. Needs some sprucing up and attention. The front desk staff was very nice, but we got major attitude from the restaurant manager. We had made dinner reservations months in advance, but the restaurant said they did not have our reservation. Instead of eating in the dining room, we were shuttled off to the breakfast area. When we tried to talk to the manager about it, he waved us off and walked away.

Spacious bathrooms and an excellent breakfast served in the main hotel. The central heating works well. Friendly staff, including the cleaning staff. The apartments are in a seperate building, but within 2 minutes walking from the main hotel, so that we didn't have an issue with this. Central location with good access to taxi rank, restaurants, the pedestrian area and shops. There is a very nice lounge and free wi-fi access.

The matress on our bed (apartment 7 in the pink house) needs to be replaced. Only one wine glass and one teaspoon were available.

Location was perfect, walkplatz and just a 10 min walk to the ski lift. Food was devine, loved the piano while eating dinner! Computer available to get the internet in the lobby.

I found the mattress too soft.There should be a cover for the bed.If I am resting during day time the sheet gets crushed.Some hooks in the bath are required to hang clothes.These are suggestions for improvement not complaint.

The room was very nice. Had a big bath tub, shower, and nice bedroom. The breakfast the next morning was amazingly good. Best breakfast I've had at a hotel.

The water heater wasn't working so none of us could take a shower or use the cool bath tub which I was definitely looking forward to. It started working 15 minutes before we had to check out. They gave us 12 euros off our room rate because of it but wish they could have done more.
