I liked everything! Clean, nice, friendly, modern.

It's nice to stay in such a charming traditional Berlin apartment house even though it's converted to a hotel.

The shower is a bit primitive.

Loved the hotel staff, very polite and attentive. Breakfast was more than adequate and the room was spacious and very clean.

There is a very big downside to this hotel and that the cigarette smoke. The no smoking policy in the rooms is completely ignored and not enforced. As a result out room filled with smoke and it was pretty unbearable for a non smoker. I've been home for 3 days and I still have a very sore throat as a result of this.

We spent 3 days in the Hotel, 2 adults and 3 children. We had a lovely spacious attic room. The breakfast was very nice and the service very friendly. The location is perfect and just beside the hotel is a lovely coffee shop/ Restaurant. Try the cakes and the food was also very nice. We had a lovely time in Berlin

Only something which could be improved....not urgent but the bathroom in the attic room is small and below the shower curtain the water comes out.. wet bathroom floor. But it was not a problem for us.

Good location, comfortable and big room, bed, unobtrusive service. Quiet and very near U-bahn.

Smoking in the hallways and restaurant. First receptionist spoke no English at all. Could be better welcome.

I liked the location of the hotel - it's right next to KaDeWe. Very convenient. Nice rooms, fine decor, very clean and warm. No problem finding the parking around the hotel and it's possible to get a resident badge for your car so that you pay fixed fee per day. Would stay there again.

I was looking something nice close to KaDeWe - and it was just on the corner!!

Room doors in old fashion way, but giving to small intimacy

Good location, clean and big room, good service.

The location was fantastic! So close to the u-Bahn, KaDaWe and a plethora of other shopping facilities just around the corner! I also liked the decor of the hotel, high ceilings, chandeliers, gilt mirrors etc all gave it a feeling of old Berlin grandeur! It was neat and clean and the family room was a decent size.

The bathroom was a little on the small size but very clean and functional.

Close to many attractions, shops and underground station. Very friendly staff. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Very homely and cosy rooms. Breakfast was good.

There are two Internet issues - it is disconnecting itself after about 30 minutes so you have to log on again and also lots of websites is blocked. Standard rooms are quite small, especially bathrooms. Also walls between rooms are very thin.

Location (direct at the Kurfurstendam and with the Metro at 50 m) and the rooms are great!

There is not a bar where you can drink something.

The staff was really nice. The rooms are clean and friendly, I liked the whole atmosphere a lot. The breakfast is quite good. There's fruit salad home made cake as well. I only tried the latter one, it was really tasty. Close to shopping street and supermarket, but not noisy at all. You can go to the city centre in 20 mins. Totally worth the price for me.

I got upgraded to a suite

I emailed in advance for directions from the airport and it took like 3 emails from me and one from corporate office to get a response. when i got there they had no copy of my booking ...luckily they had rooms available...they did upgrade my room which was nice

The Comfort Hotel Auberge is a little gem. Don't tell anybody about it!!

My suitcase was quite heavy and the lift is on the landing between the Ground and First Floors - not a problem for me, but good to know.

It was a really warm, cosy, clean, charming place - exactly what you wanted after a November day on your feet out in the Berlin mist. A lovely old building with high ceilings and big windows, but really warm and plush inside - and amazingly good value. Friendly staff who were always upbeat and giggly.

an excellent hotel, tasteful colors and furniture, comfortable rooms

Reception staff were very helpful getting our suitcases up the one flight of stairs and with any requests. The room, although small, was kept clean throughout our stay and had a true double bed that was much appreciated for comfort (as opposed to two twin beds put together with the inevitable uncomfortable gap down the middle).The breakfast room was delightful - light, roomy and stylish, including its little balcony - and the range of breakfast food provided was good (although no toaster provided for non-continental travellers not used to having bread for breakfast). The location of the hotel is superb - peaceful, near a big square with a choice of eating places, near KaDeWe for shopping, near the underground to easily reach key sightseeing areas. We would definitely consider returning to this hotel.

The only drawback, as far as we were concerned, was the lack of air conditioning, which would be a concern for a prolonged stay during the hot summer season. Fortunately we only experienced a few really hot humid days (e.g. 30 degrees) and found it necessary to have the desk fan provided turned on all night. The duvets on those nights were too hot and we were about to ask for a sheet when the weather changed to cooler temperatures. Also, the hotel allowed people to smoke on the balcony off the breakfast room in the evenings and unfortunately the smoke drifted into the lobby hallway area. This also precluded non-smokers from enjoying this facility in the evening.

Location, early check-in

Arrived early and was told I could have breakfast. I had one hard roll and front desk clerk acted surprised that I told her up on her offer. She said I would have to pay 5 Euros. Breakfast came with the room. She should have said you may have breakfast for 5 euros. Pillows to soft.

The staff was very nice and cooperative. The hotel is very clean and cosy.

There is no air conditioning in most of the roos and during hot days, like we had, it is very unpleasant. The elevator stops every half a store, so you have to drag your luggage on several stairs. There is no luggage room so if you have to leave your luggage for example after check out and until the flight time it remains near the reception desk. There is a problem for smoking people, because smoking area is limited to a small porch near the dining room. In the cheap rooms the bathroom is very very small.

It is small, cosy hotel not a factory like many big hotels are. Rooms are big and nicely furnished. Breakfast is quite good. The hotel is in great place near Wittenberg station and shopping streets. Atmosphere is peaceful and friendly.

The decor was lovely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty with a decent selection of foods. The location within the city was very good--close to the U-bahn and interesting tourist sites.

My room was supposed to be "non-smoking" room but the bathroom had a strong smoke odour. Also, people were smoking in the office quite frequently, which I had to walk past to get to my room. My pillows were too soft. Also would have been nice if the elevator went all the way down to the street level.

Great location less that 100 m. from Wittenbergplatz U-Bahn in a quit closed street.Staff were very nice and all English speaking. Good variety in breakfast buffet although the bread selection was not that exiting. Very nice rooms and fixtures. We had a great stay.
