Friendly personal, value for money, good restaurant nearby, breakfast just around the corner for 1 euro per bread or yogurt. Tram to the city 3 minutes walk.
During our visit restauration activities at nearby buildings started early in the morning.
Clean and comfortable rooms in a nice, freshly renovated 100-years old tenement house. Well equipped kitchen, very big bathroom. Nice, comfortable beds. Apartment is only 50m away from tram (S-bahn) lines. Wi-Fi OK.
Third floor, no elevator - this could be a problem for handicapped. Parking on streets - quite busy surroundings.
Staff was super friendly Fresh breakfast
Very nice clean and spacious room. Brand new furniture, renovated facilities, great bathroom. Great garden available! Free parking on street
Not working wifi - poor signal in room, problems with username/password, etc. Just not working for us. Only 1 bathroom/WC for 4 rooms! When someone is in shower, no WC available!!
Nice location, nice place and price
The wall quite thin, easily heard the sound from outside. But so far, it is good location and place for single traveller.
The family room was very spaceous and newly renowated. Everything was clean and nice. Well-equiped kitchen!
Only restaurants near were kebab-restaurant like.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing - our two year old daughter forgot her favourite teddy bear in the bed when we left and they just shipped it over- no problem at all.
+Apartment furnished with all the amenities you need +Modern and very clean +Great strip of restaurants/cafes within walking distance +Nice communal courtyard +Safe&Secure +Great natural light +Very quiet +Super market nearby
-No hand soap in the communal bathroom/toilet -Staff are only on site limited hours -Staff friendly but didnt volunteer tourist information, we had to ask for quite simple tourist information
very good to spent one night if You traveling with family, Nice appartament
location - not in good area.
Well-equipped kitchen. Good WiFi. TV with English channel. Cherry tree in the garden. Easy access to transport. Very secure.
Flimsy beds. Mine broke as soon as I sat on it. The staff did fix it when told about it.
Nice apartment with 2 separate bedrooms for me & my father, thoughtful kitchen utilities, balcony overlooking lovely common gardens in stark contrast to very drab street.
Internet didn't work which meant we were unable to book accommodation for Munich and couldn't find an internet café on a Sunday. Stairs are a pain but thanks to Stephanie who helped us up with our luggage.
Auenwald was peaceful, clean, spacious and quite simply a perfect lodging choice for our needs. The kitchen was well equipped, and the shower had both hot water and great water pressure. The balcony off the kitchen overlooking the inner courtyard was a great place to sit and relax.
The construction in the neighborhood detracted a bit from the overall atmosphere, but it seemed like a nice neighborhood that was going through some needed upgrades.
I went with the single/twin sized bed room, and the pictures can be a bit misleading. The room truly is small, yet it is *very* comfortable in spite of being just wide enough for the twin size bed and a nightstand. It has its own heater, though I truthfully found that I didn't need it. The provided comforter was actually a bit too much for me personally so I wound up with my window open. (Yes, during winter. What can I say? I prefer to be chilly.) The facilities were very clean, though, in spite of it being a nonsmoking facility, I will say one of the other residents had clearly smoked a cigarette in the joint bathroom. Parking isn't much of a problem at all, though there are no parking garages - it's all street parking in the area. Anyone who isn't in a huge vehicle should have no problem at all finding sufficient parking.
It was a bit noisy. The walls appear to be thick, yet aren't really, so noise isn't very well blocked. I could hear every step and time one of those on my floor and the floor above went to go to the water closet, even though I was the furthest from the bathroom.
It was more like renting an apartment with shared facilities, a bit like a posh student room, well stocked kitchen, nice bathroom but basic. All great value for money if it hadn't been for the noise. I think if you get a quiet room it's a grat place to stay.
Ended up in tiny room between entrance hall and staircase on other side Main problem huge noise through wooden floors could her talking, walking and chairs screeching beside me and above me ... Stops at midnight and starts again at 6 am with dishwasher being emptied etc... Carpets and notes on door to stop people slamming them, a bit of consideration is all that's needed to make this a fantastic place to stay. If, you are on a tight budget it's still great but bring earplugs. Could provide a bathmat per room, I rather not share that with strangers.
Good apartment. Only two apartments in a block so shared bathroom is not a problem. Fully equipped kitchen.
No tea or coffee in the kitchen.
Nice and clean, no noise
Parking facilities could be better. Could not get wifi to work.
Everything was great. Although the neighborhood looks intimidating, there is nothing to worry about.
The two bedroom apartment was spacious and clean and good value for money, however the kitchen was quite small. The owner was friendly but didn't speak English. We managed to park on the street near the hotel but it could be difficult if it were very busy.It is about 10 to 15 minutes drive into the town centre. There is a supermarket within walking distance and two more a short drive away.
There is no reception and it took us some time to work out that we needed to contact the owner via the intercom especially as she doesn't speak English. It would be helpful to have better information about how to contact the owner and book in especially if you will be arriving late. The area is being redeveloped so there is building work going on and some of the buildings are still quite dilapidated. This means the area feels a bit dodgy although we had no problems.I would not feel particularly comfortable walking around late at night on my own.
Much enjoyed. Overlooks inside garden. Tram stop very close by - short trip to central Leipzig. Owner very helpful and helped us with parking nearby in the street. ALDI very close by as well as a laundromat. WiFi ok.
Nice big comfortable rooms, and very good value for the money. If I ever go to leipzig again this is where I will stay!
The stairs on the first floor smelled of mold.
