We enjoyed our stay very much! A truly unique experience! The staff was very friendly and supportive, while the ambiance is authentically old and provides a pleasant atmosphere. The room we had was a corner room with lovely views on 2 sides and a good-sized bathroom. The food in the restaurant was very good and the spa area was very quiet and relaxing. In the evening it was a pleasure to see the lounge room with a fire burning and a good choice of drinks.We loved the hotel's location on top of a hill and 1 minute's walk from the UNESCO World Heritage Wartburg Castle, which is worth visiting. There is a high sense of quality in everything in this hotel without making guests feel uneasy. There is no lift but we did not find this to be a limitation during our stay.

There is not much to comment but perhaps the hotel's management could consider increasing the options in the restaurant's menu. One thing that we did not appreciate is having to make the steep climb on foot from the parking area to the hotel at night after a long day out, but perhaps the shuttle van was available and we were not aware of it.

The staff was wonderful! Every single person -- from the woman who dusted the bannister to the office manager -- proved to be friendly and helpful. In particular, I would like to express my appreciation for Frau Brenn's assistance.

It is one of the best 5* hotel I've been. Located on the top of mountain, gives you very nice view. Reception is styled design with very nice lady. During check-in I got all information including castle visit details. Room was large with good equipped mini-bar and big bed. Fast internet connection is available. Breakfast is very good - restaurant is located on outside part of the building - I had nice view during eating. I really recommend stay there

Hotel auf der Wartburg is the best hotel we have visited so far. Unique location, great service, stylist rooms with breathtaking view to the Thuringer Wald and delicious cuisine. Our stay was like a fairytale! Although 15 m from the castle full of tourists, the hotel is somehow hidden and provides you with big privacy and personal comfort. There is a shuttle between car parking and the hotel, you luggage will be lifted up easily. Strongly recommend to have a dinner there (not to go to Eisenach) and definitely try fitness and wellness area (Jungbrunnen).

Very smart with fabulous views and lovely surroundings.

We have stayed at a number of castle hotels in Germany. This place is too expensive for what you get. Our room whilst pleasant was essentially small. We stayed overlooking the Rhine for less and had a super room with small balcony. Restaurant was good, but probably not quite worth the money.

Vom Empfang am Parkplatz bis zur letzten Minute unseres Aufenthaltes waren wir begeistert von den wirklich netten Mitarbeitern, dem freundlichen Empfang, dem schönen Zimmer mit der herrlichen Aussicht auf Eisenach, und im Landgrafenraum im Restaurant von den Leistungen der Küchencrew. Wir waren zum ersten Mal da, aber sicher werden wir irgendwann wiederkommen! Ganz herzlichen Dank an das hervorragende Personal des Hotels auf dem Burgberg,

Eine hervorragende, wildromantische Lage direkt neben der berühmten, historischen Wartburg. Ausserdem war der Service der sehr freundlichen, zuvorkommenden Hotel-Mitarbeiter ausgezeichnet!

Prachtige locatie pal naast Slot Wartburg op de bergtop, met schitterende uitzichten. Prima restaurant.

Het hotel wordt gekenmerkt als 5 sterren. En het hotel is erg goed, maar bij 5 sterren verwacht ik iets meer ruimte en faciliteiten. Ondanks dat een uitstekend hotel.

Maravilhoso! O hotel, muito confortável, é anexo ao Castelo de Wartburg. Fica no alto de uma montanha, cercada de verde. O serviço é extremamente atencioso. Para se conhecer o interior do castelo é necessário acompanhar uma visita guiada.

Einmaliges Ambiente - das Ganze wurde noch übertroffen mit einer abendlichen Aufführung von "Wilhelm Tell" im Burghof. Service sehr personlich und hervorragend. Preisniveau entspricht der Leistung.
