The rooms, quiet, clean and well appointed; the breakfast - wonderful and the staff: very approachable and efficient
Our stay wasn't long enough!
The location was fabulous. The bathroom and shower was nice to use.
The price of breakfast was extremely pricey for what it was. The duvet for the double bed was two single duvets which was strange.
I loved the quirky layout of the hotel. Breakfast was good value with plenty of choice. All staff were helpful and friendly. Room 33 was bigger than I expected and was very comfortable with excellent views over the Kurfurstendamm.
Room was spacious, light and had good facilities. We had a balcony overlooking Kurfursendamm which made it even better. Well situated and within easy reach of trains underground and buses and tour buses (public transport is fantastic. Great base camp to see all of Berlin. Felt very safe in the area .
Hotel is a little bit of a maze with no staff to show you to room.
decent breakfast and comfortable duvet
This was the ugliest room I have ever stayed in (it was a single). A hard chair, no curtains (only a blackout) or pictures. I stayed here years ago with my husband and remembered it was pretty and comfortable. So many stairs to climb and no help with a heavy suitcase.
The staff. They were all very nice. The bed were lovely and comfortable. Very convenient to the underground station and restaurants.
- Have to take stairs, considering customer with heavy luggage.
4th floor ,room number 10. silent and comfortable room. I stayed 9 night! It's like my home.. I feel nice.. Breakfeast is nice, internet is ok.
it's not problem but little hard to use internet, because every break you must write the password again and again. Shampoo is too bad, buy a shampoo from the market, towels size is not comfortable for shower it can be more bigger, I have 2 little pillow in my room first 2 nights, but then they took it from me, I don't understand why.., one night I was coming to the room at midnight at 01 o'clock and my window was open! İt's too bad because room is Very cold and the other bad thing there is a big spider come inside. Cleaning the room is not perfect, some parts still dusty.. safe box key is old model, less hangers, but you can tell theese things to the reception and they are very friendly persons so there is nothing problem.. I had a very nice time in the hotel.. If I need something I tell them and they fixed evrything.. don't make a problem little things. It was a very nice hotel. stay safely and enjoy! It's a perfect area!
Went to see Fall of Wall 25th anniversary and found this hotel vis Booking.com. First class location at west end of city. Easy access to public transport with U Bahn station about 100 meters away. Located on quiet side street. Excellent staff who were friendly and very helpful. Good quality and variety of food served at breakfast: again staff were first class.Hotel more than lived up to expectation given in website. Would recommend to friends and family if they were visiting Berlin.
The following comment did not reflect my experience but I am adding it as I feel it could he[ others in the future. Access to hotel is not easy! Door from street leads to steep flight of stairs leading to reception. There is a side door but you would not know of this until you have checked in. To gain access to second part of hotel where our room was required carrying luggage up another flight of stairs, then down to ground floor at back of building. Cross a garden, up another lift and down a third flight of stairs to reach our room. I am reasonably fit: a disabled person or someone with walking difficulties would find this almost impossible. The layout of the building means there is little that can be done to make matters any easier: what I feel is required is a warning notice on the website of the layout so that anyone who has issues with stairs and lifts knows in advance. Criticism is NOT levelled at hotel but at lack of information for booking clients .
very quiet. Excellent bed and room!
Going from one building to the other and two lifts every time!
The hotel is in the centre, walking distance to U-Bahn or S-Bahn (Zoologishche Garden)
How did we have to go to the room: Stairs up, take lift DOWN, leave the first building, on the yard take second lift UP next take stairs DOWN and we are in our room. Rooms No.25 and up are in this floor, therefore very problematic to reach.
Quality great, access to Public transport evening foot-walk distance to KaDeWe
Located close to tour buses, train stations and shopping. Clean with a sense of nostalgia.
Smaller rooms, our room was in a separate building from the main hotel, two elevators to get to reception.
Rooms were nice and quite
Internet - you need codes every time you lock on. You can not get 24 hours codes.
+nice location although all touristic need a travel... + underground and buses are very very near + tasty breakfast + from TXL 25~min by bus (line 109) directly.
-too many stairs (problematic for disabled).
Great location, very kind staff, excelent breakfast (bit expensive).
the stairs to access the lobby and the elevator, when you have heavy luggage.
Perfect location, clean room, nice service, price and value ration
It is extremely convenient. Only mtres away from the corner of the main shopping street in Charlottenberg; about 100 metres from the 190 bus stop to Tegel Airport and a bus that goes direct to the Brndenburg gate and museum island The room was small but very clean The breakfast was quite good.
Initially you are confronted by a steep set of stairs and no lift. In fact there is alift accessable from a small side entrance which goes to the internal courtyard which will take you to half alevel above the reception desk. If you turned off your I phone or I pad a new WIFI code had to be obtained and entered. Limited hot items for breakfast Poor coffee
Location, reasonable breakfast, reasonable room
Nobody speaks english at reception in the morning, I could not get the final receipt (later I have got it via e-mail)
Breakfast was amazing
Staff welcome 1st place wasn't good but it it improved after a short while. If u have a heavy big baggage then it won't be a good idea
Great location just off the Ku,damm. Friendly staff. Charming small hotel.
Lack of parking can be an issue on the street. But a block away is a parking garage.
They had a great staff and breakfast. The room was small but very clean. The location just off of Kurfurstendamm is good for shopping, dinning and access to public transportation which you will need to get to the main sights.
I didn't like carrying my luggage up about 20 steps to get to the reception area.
There is olny one free of charge code for wireless internet . One device-one code. If you have a computer and a cell phone choose carefully ;)
Location was perfect for seeing all you want in berlin. Plenty of restaurants nearby and brilliant transport links into town.
Staff were not overly helpful or friendly. They did not seem to understand local parking restrictions and did not put themselves out to explain.
Really good deal for the money we paid! Situated right on KuDamm. Compared to the service in the rest of Berlin this Hotel knows how to take care of people! All the small things count.
We had a noice in our rooms that we couldn´t locate, but we did not call the reception to complain either. I slept like a log in the wonderful beds anyway!
