Set on the outskirts of the Thüringen Forest, this country-style hotel is quietly located in Georgenthal. It offers a range of excursions in the local area, a cosy bar and free Wi-Fi access.

The bright rooms at Aura Pension are classically decorated in neutral colours with solid wooden furniture. Each room offers a cable TV and private balcony overlooking the garden.

Downstairs in the cheerful dining room, a rich breakfast buffet is served each morning. Guests can sample home-style Thüringen dishes, or relax with a drink on the terrace during warm weather.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of sporting activities at the Oberhof Winter Sport resort, which is a 20-minute drive away. Aura Pension also offers excursions especially for blind and visually-impaired guests.

Free private parking is offered by Aura Pension and guests will find the A4 motorway 14 km away. Georgenthal (Thur)Train Station is 2 km from the hotel.

Steffen Mature couple Halle, Germany December 2, 2012	Die Pension liegt sehr ruhig und direkt am Waldrand. Sie ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt um den Naturpark Thüringer Wald zu erkunden (zu Fuß oder per Auto). Viele touristische Ziele in der Nähe. Im November war die eine oder andere "Sehenswürdigkeit" leider geschlossen. Im Sommer sieht das sicher anders aus. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und geben gern Auskunft über das eine oder andere Ausflugsziel. Unsere Zimmer war geräumig, sehr sauber und hatte einen Balkon. Das Bad war sehr sauber. Zu Shoppen kann man nach Gotha bzw. Eisenach fahren. Im gesamten Haus besteht Rauchverbot. Direkt am Eingang befindet sich eine Raucherinsel. Parken nur auf der Straße vor der Pension möglich. Da wir die einzigen Gäste waren, hatte wir keine Parkplatzprobleme. Wenn das Haus ausgebucht ist, sieht das sicher anders aus. Wir haben die Pension als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zur Wartburg, nach Gotha, Erfurt, Mühlhausen und Bad Langensalza genutzt. Gutes Frühstück, preiswerte Halbpension. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich ausgestattet und die Atmosphäre im Haus ist sehr nett und familiär. Die Ortsrand-Lage des Hauses garantiert einen ruhigen, erholsamen Aufenthalt!
