Hotel Avantgarde  

Quite a pleasant hotel if the location is right for you - but it's a good way out of Koblenz. The adjacent railway is very busy, but surprisingly doesn't make for disturbed nights

It is a comfortable hotel. We booked a family room but we were given two rooms without a further charge. The breakfast is good. There are good restaurants nearby. The hotel offered a discount on the advertised price for payment in cash.

The staff was wonderful and very helpful.

We had a family room and the adult bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good.

Although free wifi is advertised, it is distributed in 1 hour increments...after which one must go back to the front desk to obtain a password and user name for the next hour. Wifi coverage was poor and did not work in the room. We were required to sit in the lobby. This is really my only complaint about the hotel. Our stay was otherwise great.

Their breakfast was excellent. We liked the Spanish Restaurant across the plaza.

There is nobody at the reception after 9 pm, or maybe even earlier. Make sure that you arrive on time.

Staff was friendly and very accomodating

Location was good as it was an over night stay coming from the German Alps to Rotterdam. The hotel is 1 min walk from the river which is excellent for walks or running. There are a number of local restaurants which are nice with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. The two closest ones (on the river front) serve local German cuisine.

No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Continental breakfast was slightly below average.

We are a family of 4 and booked a family room. Both the room and the bathroom were large and clean. It was a pleasant surprise. The car park was also a plus.

The hotel is not at walking distance from the centre. Not a problem to us; maybe public transport is available but I didn't check.

Perfect place to stop for a night on our car trip from Sweden to Italy. We came in late and took off early to enjov the Rhine valley. Nice breakfast. Car park next to house. WiFi.

Nice hotel, close to the river for walks, excellent staff.

The room was spacious and had a good interior decor. Breakfast also good. Having free parking outside the hotel was also good. I would stay again at this hotel.

The receptionist was not as friendly as would expect when first turning up at hotel. The breakfast staff were ok. I would have preferred to be a bit nearer to Coblenz town centre.

Location was perfect and the restaurant next door was excellent

They had no other pillows but feather and I am allergic to feather.the manager however was very helpful and let me use the cushions off the patio furniture
