Nice rooms. Excellent showers
The loud music in the reception area was unnecessary.
Nice Design of the rooms and friendly service i reception
In a hotel at that price range i would expect better cleaning. Noisy rooms when facing the street.
Convenience, clean, tidy, well decorated
Wi-fi kept dropping off and very slow at peak times
wifi was too slow.
Only one front desk person working later afternoon shift was truly helpful. The one that lend me his umbrella. Thank you..Your a real worker.
Early morning & night shift front desk staff are all rude & unworkable people. I'm sure they know who they are. They have no customer service skills nor including interpersonal skills. Bad manners is what they can only offer you.
Cleanliness, location and comfort. Friendly staff
Location is great and hotel is very well maintained. Spacious rooms with great showers. Restaurant is very good.
Nothing to dislike.
Rooms were very comfortable, clean, with great room services to clean and provide towels, etc. Staff was very friendly Breakfast was very wholesome with very fair cost for value ratio SPA and relaxing room at top of the building were excellent Out-door dining was great
The hotel ia preto close to importante metro stations, shops and Main streets. The staff was Nice about explaining directions and overall.
Cousine closes and you can not eat something after 11pm/12am, also the wi-fi was totally a disaster.
Service was excellent Gay hotel, that was cool
Rooms are a bit small
Location, Location, Location for both Shopping & Gay venues. Modern & Fashionable for Guests who have no problem staying in a 'heterofriendly' brand of Hotel. The new arrangement for WiFi users having 1 code for 3 devices is a Good Move.
Lack of identify of the 'floor' from the lift when the doors open [ie No Number on wall facing out from the lift]. On arrival into our room, we found an 'empty Condom/Lube wallet' in the Safe. The WiFi was a 'hit and miss'
Facility and amenities were great. Close to transportation, shopping, bars, restaurants and gay nightlife.
It was a refreshing pleasure to stay in a hotel that is for the gay male guest. It was ideally located for easy access to most of the things I wanted to experience in Berlin. The full complimentary breakfast was nutritious and tasty, and the staff was, generally, friendly and cute and helpful.
It's not that I found anything objectionable, it is just that I'm on the older end of the demographic. The omnipresence of dance music in the public areas, for example, is annoying to a man of my generation, while I gather that it is expected by the younger men. What would happen if classical music was played, I wonder. Nothing too heavy- no Bruckner, for example, but some lovely chamber music, perhaps some Haydn string quartets? It would create a different atmosphere, possibly a very pleasant one. This is, I know, the futile fantasy of a dinosaur.
Very comfy bed in a spacious bedroom. A great location near the landmarks, the shopping and centrally located near the gay area of Berlin with great bars and clubs. The rooftop spa was fantastic for relaxing after a long day sightseeing.
The only downside was a very poor wifi connection.
It's in one of Berlin's gay neighborhoods—convenient for bars, you can meet other Gay male travelers, the staff is accommodating
the wifi codes are a hassle—just have a network with a consistent password, please!, the rooms were so dark I couldn't even shave properly, it feels dated in the halls, the rooftop bar is a ghost town—it wasn't open once in 7 days, the hot tub and sauna were lukewarm, they have a huge storefront restaurant, HM's, that no one uses—how about a cocktail bar or something Gay travelers care about? It's a poor copy of Barcelona's Axel with it's glamorous SkyBar that people actually go to and its sleeker, brighter, more modern interior.
Centrally located hotel with nice facilities, helpful staff. Wifi was good and fast this time.
Not much. Wish the breakfast were included in the price.
Chic, refined, gay hotel with an extremely helpful front desk. Nice rooftop spa and sauna with a hot tub with a view. Small but contemporary rooms with outstanding AC. Excellent access to both subway and bus systems (which is essential in Berlin). Hamburger Mary's downstairs with weekly drag shows.
The WIFI signal is not so great. The gay area that this hotel is near is declining and perhaps moving to other parts of the city. Fortunately this hotel is on the outskirts of that gay area and in a nice upscale neighborhood with excellent restaurants nearby.
I don't like the black wall and ceiling cave-like design, probably inspired by back-room labyrinths. It is combined with glass and mirrors everywhere, which one easily bumps into. Lights comes from spots in the ceiling pointing vertically down. This highlights muscle-tones in the bathroom mirror of self-indulged 25 years old, but for all us others, more mortal, it highlights our imperfect body, and makes a depressing start on the day or on the night out... Besides that: sewage smell from the bathroom drain.
Wish the roof top bar open during the week!
The location (close to KaDeWe and many cool Berlin attractions). The great neighbourhood. The gym , the spa and the outside jacuzzi on top of the hotel. The quiet room with a view on the little garden. The cleanliness. The Internet access everywhere in the hotel. The discretion of the people working there.
The staff at the desk was not equally competent (but most of them were really nice!).
WLAN is weak Maintenance of the room not followed up Superior rooms still very small
Very curteous, friendly and helpful staff. First time traveler to Berlin and all of the staff were extremely helpful in making me feel very welcomed and familiarizing myself with the area.
Wifi-service was extremely slow
Having stayed at the Axel Barcelona this was a no brainer. The Axel Berlin offered the same great service And a very good location in the heart of the vibrant Berlin gay scene . Good room size and a great shower and en suite complemented by a very comfortable bed
The bathroom condiments had not been refreshed from the last user- half empty bottles- and were never replenished over four days The free WI Fi was a bit stingy and expired before the end of my stay Just niggles that impinged on an otherwise excellent experience
