Design of the suite room.
Windows could not be covered in the main hall and the room Internet office.
Location Facilities Free Wifi
Lovely staff...gay hotel, but welcomes all in such a liberal city...good location..
Rooms are dark, but we had an upgrade this time...not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but we have returned many times...breakfast is now expensive..
Location decent. Attitude of some staff questionable. Breakfast and food overpriced.
Service, room, location
Terrible WiFi. Lack of wardrobe and enough space to place our things, no wardrobe. No tea / coffee maker in room. Small room, very dark. The hotel is too dark. Bathroom is very small. AC does not work properly: so, when you take a shower, the room is humid and damp. Breakfast is too average for the price of EUR 13,50.
Conveniently located hotel, ideal for young adventurous people's
Excellent location. Friendly staff and comfortable bed.
Spa was bit of let down. Not enough lockers so we couldn't go.
Reception staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Room jazzy and clean with a great bed and shower. Loved the spa. Great location for the trains, shops, local bar and restaurants.
Could do with some more hanging space, but we coped.
Nice location but don't expect too much about this hotel.
The room are very small, dark, the all hotel is in darkness I should say. The gym is really poor in equipments, the spa is a jacuzzi, that's it. Bathroom AC is bad, so when you take a shower, the room is humid.
all black interior design in hallways and bathrooms; lobby was small and narrow like a hallway; kitschy restaurant in the style of student hostel, not matching with the rest of the hotel.no sofas in common areas; stains and peeling paint on the walls of bathroom;
the hotel is very dark inside, black walls, black room, it is not everybody's taste. Bathroom is very small and there is no wardrobe, small rooms. The food is very average and the breakfast was very average too, for this price (EUR 13,50) I enjoyed much better breakfasts in the city.
the location the shower the bed is good
restaurant is really bad service, bad drinks the cleaning people smelled so much that after they clean the apartment, the smell was too strong and stayed in the room. they don't use 'air cleaner' like fabreze they don't change the shower gel per day.... for 20 euros more i could have stayed in the 25 hours hotel at the bikini mall, very trendy and new and same location
Excellent location close to U2 metro station, very friendly and helpful staff, we were upgraded for free to superior room, interesting interior design in black and mirrors with bath practically in the middle of the room.. Using the SPA center on the top floor after the long walk was so good. And relaxing in the open air jacuzzi on the roof top is a unique experience. Heating was very good, Wifi was also very good.
Lack of wardrobe and enough space to place our things.
Air condition didn't work properly. The room key was faulty. Staff not too helpful
Friendly and helpful staff. Room decor very good. Close to Underground. Close to shops. In the gay area. Food at Hamburger Mary's excellent.
No tea / coffee maker in room. No English movie TV channels, only news.
front desk staff are mostly kind. 6th floor spa and hot tube is great fun. architecture, design and colors of the room. strong wifi power. freedom in general.
cheaper at door than booking.com. only 2 times sheet change in a 7 nights stay. floor staff for room cleaning is not enough at all. they were leaving one shampoo one day, one bath gel the other day. only one person representing the hotel at nights; no room service. breakfast buffet is poor in quality comparing to the price. not like a four star hotel when it comes to the service at all.
Location, free wifi for 3 devices, hot tub in the terrace.
Small room, broken heating system, cleaning staff left windows open every day (December!), no bathrobe in room, cheap amenities, regular breakfast & expensive, tv system is deficient and no channel listing. For the same $$ we later stayed at a real 4 star hotel and what a difference!
For me the location of Axel Hotel is great. Close to U-bahn, KaDeWe, gay bars, restaurants and more. Always enough towels. Spa section with sauna, outdoor jacuzzi and possibilities of working out is great. Breakfast is fairly good. WiFi worked well everywhere. I also had a good massage there.
The bar and burger restaurant wasnt very professional, even though it's clean and with friendly staff. Good for a quick bite, but go somewhere else for a good bar or impressive food. My room was very small and not very practical for hanging up clothes and stuff. After a shower it's also wet everywhere, not the smartes sollution.
Peaceful and clean room. good jacuzzi. good bed.
I have been in many hotels in my life, but this one is a bit over-priced compared to other hotels in Berlin this very same weekend: basic rooms are really too small, bathroom gets fully wet when taking a shower, sauna and hammam do not function appropriately, fitness and wellness need a refreshment.
Good location, easy access to u-bahn and good connections to the main sites. People at reception helpful to find local bars.
Water system rather smelly, plug needed replacing after use. No kettle in room to make a hot drink.
Love the location and the rooms. It has a really nice atmosphere, very relaxed and fun.
The guys working at the reception were less nice and helpful in the past but not too bad overall.
Great location. Big comfortable bed. (Public) Parking in front of the building (on street) is easily accessible and cheap €1 per hour for 15 hours per day)
Rooms are small. Shower/bathtub is awkward. Staff essentially ignored us at check in. Check out staff was only slightly less distant.
Long hair recpictonist
I was given a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite and the room was nicely laid out, if a bit dark.
the spa area is definitely showing it's age and needs a re-do. The room itself was fine, but it is a bit too darkly lit. The wifi was slow and tempermental.
