The room, internet, wonderful breakfast, good restaurant made this a very pleasant stay for a visitor to Basel and Vitra Design Museum who also wants some peace and quiet. We had a good view of the hills, vineyards and forest and it was very peaceful. I would stay here again. Also, the bus to Basel stops opposite the hotel, this is much more efficient than the trains and is only E2.80. One tiny quibble, I wish some city maps had been available to take away- either for Weil am Rhein or for Basel. Most hotels do this but Axion only had advertising brochures. Small problem though and must not put others off.

This hotel is extremely well situated if you want to explore the town of Bâle, and nearby attractions, but remaining in the countryside on the German side, train station and bus stop in the immediate vicinity. Very nice staff, buffet breakfast included and a cosy restaurant with Greek cuisine. I thought the the room was very small for the price, although quite comfortable.

Sauber, ordentlich und sehr freundliche Inhaber. Sehr praktisch das griechische Restaurant im Haus In 30 Meter Entfernung eine Eisenbahnbrücke, über die die ganze Nacht alle 10-15 Minuten die Züge donnern.

Sehr nettes familiehotel; guttes Restaurant. Lage sehr gut, wenn man nach die Alpen in Frankreich geht. Die entfangst war nicht so net; wenn, wie Wir, mit Internet gebucht und bezahlt hast, muss die mitarbeiter wissen, wo das steht.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Vorallem die leckeren Spiegeleier. Es gab alles, auch frisches Obst. Am besten hat uns das tolle griechische Restaurant gefallen. Wir waren 6 Abende hintereinander und jedesmal einfach nur lecker.......mmhh. Direkt am Hotel gehen die Züge vorbei. Bei geschlossenem Fenster im Winter kein Problem.

Der kostenlose Parkplatz Der 24 Stunden Service mit der sehr guten Verpflegung. Auch das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis der Speisen und Getränke war ok. Inbegriffen die freundliche Bedienung, was auch nicht immer selbstverständlich ist. Aufgrund der fast direkten Lage zur db, sollten die Fenster dreifach verglast sein, dass mindert den Schallpegel (Lautstärke) im Hotel. Wenn ein Zug über die eiserne Bahnbrrücke fährt, dann könnten mit Sicherheit mehr als 160 dB nachgewiesen werden. Die Geräusch-empfindung für den Menschen ist schmerzhaft. Der zulässige . Schallpegel liegt bei max 80 dB. Es ist nachgewiesen, dass durch Lärmstress in der Bundesrepublik jährlich mehr 2000 Herzinfarkte zu verzeichnen sind. Das bezieht sich allerding auf dauernden Lärm! Bin von Beruf Dipl. Bau.-Ing.

Hotel ist nur in Zimmern jenseits der Straße und Bahn nutzbar, zumindest wenn man nachts bei leicht geöffnetem Fenster schlafen will. Wer das nicht braucht, die Lärmisolierung ist sehr gut!
