Ellen and Dirk are wonderful hosts who make your stay memorable. We had a room that included a sitting room, large bedroom and a very large bath. We overlooked one of the towns towers and the Rhine River. We also ate at the Bacharacher Hof restaurant twice and the food far exceeded our expectations. The hotel is conveniently located between Mainz and Koblenz and provides easy access to all the castles and sites along the middle Rhine. We highly recommend the Bacharacher Hof for your Rhine vacation.

wifi doesn't reach the rooms

Hotel was clean and we got a very good rate for our stay. The indoor swimming pool was also very nice and I wish we had taken our swimming along. It's a super cute town to stay in too.

We were in Bacharach at the end of March and it still seemed to be low season. At night the town was dead with no open pubs and about half of the restaurant's closed.

Very friendly staff, good location in a picturesque town, a great base next to the Rheine and the surrounding castles and area. Good size room & good restaurant & breakfast.

Wonderful location with very little train noise. We had a great meal in the restaurant. Chef and his wife are the owners of the inn. Nice room with all the amenities, plus a balcony. There's a spa with sauna and indoor heated pool.

Everything! It is a lovely b&B. Dirk and Ellen are gracious hosts that do everything they can to make your stay perfect. The room was clean and well kept. The shower was warm and strong. The towels were thick. Breakfasts are delicious. Eat in the hotel resturant in the evening. The food is great and well priced. The room is well priced. We look forward to staying at the Bacharacher Hof again.

For some reasons, each German hotel we stayed in only had one small garbage can in the bathroom. The only thing I could ask for is one additional garbage can in the living area that is a bit larger than the one in the bathroom.

We were in this area to view the famous castles of King Ludwig. We arrived at night and were able to see the castle right out of our hotel window since it is lit up at night. Beautiful! It is a short 2km walk to the castles from this hotel. Very nice scenery along the way. Much less hassle than the buses. This hotel provides a great breakfast buffet.

I loved the location within the town of Bacharach. Not too close to the train station...so noise was minimal. The room was very nice and CLEAN. You do have to walk up some steps. The owner helped us get a boat tour. The restaurant in the B & B was really great. I finally got to have my traditional German meal. The owners answered all of our questions and helped us whenever needed. We were visiting Bacharach for 3 days, then headed to Rothenburg o d Tauber, the back to Berlin. Wonderful experience for two folks in their 50's.

There was nothing not to like. The bathroom was a little small, but worked out fine. The shower had GREAT water pressure...which is important to me.

No lift. No instructions at check in regarding how to get into hotel after a certain hour when the outer doors are locked. Double charged at check out!

The room was comfortable and the hotel within walking distance of the center. Good breakfast spread, very reasonable prides and easy parking.

Nice room for a european village on the Rhine River. Please note that trains run up and down the river sides but that is not the hotels fault. However the passenger trains are very quiet for fast moving trains. The freight trains on the other side of the river are a bit noisey. Back to the rooms and hotel. Nice with good bathrooms and beds but not plush if that is what you are looking for. Great indoor pool and location to the village center was excellent. Hotel operator even stayed up late to let us in and had parking available. Would return to this hotel if situation arose.

Central location and Parking Resturante quality and outsanding friendly Staff

Great friendly staff. Love their interest in learning English. I was interested in improving my German language skills and the were more than happy to accomodate me. I would go back their in a minute. The middle Rhein is beautiful. This medieval town is so much less hectic than the towns of Oberwesel and Sankt Goar to the North. The suite we were in, two room, was great. A view of the river and the castle and vineyards behind us was magnificent. Wow!! We loves it.

Nothing springs to mind immediately.

Far too close to the railway lines. Impossible to sleep because of the constant freight traffic. Bathroom poorly equipped. The existence of a swimming pool does NOT compensate for the downsides in terms of noise.

Great location with a view of the castle from our balcony. Be sure to walk to the top of the castle for beautiful views of the Rhine.

The whole town seems a bit of a fire hazard but they did have fire extinguishers around. We stayed on the top floor and went out on the balcony but weren't sure of it's stability.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view of the river from our room was lovely. We were quoted a room with a balcony, but didn't get one. Still, our room was very comfortable, and the bathroom with the tub was very nice. We also appreciated the small fridge in the room. All in all a very nice stay.

The trains were unexpected, very close to the hotel, very noisy, never stopped throughout the night. Nevertheless, we slept well and enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location at heart of old town, extremely friendly owner and staff, very good facilities (including quiet swimming pool and sun balcony area exclusively for guests' use), nice buffet breakfast included in rate, free internet wifi access.

The location of the hotel in the small German town was fantastic. Restaurant in hotel was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.

They offered parking facilities but it required leaving your car key’s with reception; it’s a small cobblestone street town so you can understand the limited parking space. Bedding old and needed to be renewed.
