Beautiful room in a heritage building. We reserved a Jr. Suite and were upgraded to a full suite. Extremely clean bathroom which looked as if it had just been installed. Perfect location in the shopping district, close to restaurants. Excellent breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke to us in English.

Vehicle access is possible in the pedestrian zone for loading/unloading but signs explaining this are in German, only. For non-German speakers it would be to the hotel's advantage to inform guests of this along with their reservation confirmation.

Poeple working there was very nice and kind and gave good tipps for daily activities and restaurants. The breakfast was very good. we are planning to come over again in may. A good thing is that animals are also allowed.

- I booked this hotel too quick over booking.com and overlooked that they did not have a restaurant and that parking is far away in a paid public parking area (Euro 20/24h); also not easy to find when your driving on tomtom (in the midlle of a walking zone. - I changed rooms in the middle of the night as the airconditioning made noise and could not be swiched off. (Expect it is the central system although the receptionist claimed it was the wind)

I was a bit nervous upon arrival after reading some pretty harsh reviews. The hotel itself sits right in the middle of town, well within walking distance to all the attractions. Parking, although the hotel says it is offered, is really just a public parking lot for 20 euro/day. We took our chances and parked on the street, directly across from the public lot. No signs were posted, but common sense told me (not my husband) we shouldn't park there all weekend. We walked away with a 5 euro ticket, so I guess it did save us 35 euro! Lol. We were shown to our room, which had no bathtub, and was a bit small. We would have been fighting each other for bathroom time. We had only requested a balcony. I went back to the front desk and asked if they had any rooms available with a tub. The awesome girl at the front desk then showed us 2 different rooms we could upgrade to for just 20 euro more a night, as opposed to the usual 40 euro more. The one we choose was wonderful! It was big with a couch, table, desk, balcony and an extremely large bathroom! All of these things you can find at almost any hotel, but what was different at HELIOPARK Bad Hotel Zum Hirsch was how incredibly clean it was! The bathroom may have quite possibly been cleaner than my bathroom at home!! Everything about the room was perfect!! Now I've seen in other reviews that some people were concerned because the hotel felt deserted. Yes, it is quiet. When my husband went down to the bar for wine & beer to bring back to our room, the girl at the front desk did leave her post and become the bartender. But, that being said, our needs were always met. One morning we visited the hotel sauna, steam bath, & solarium before starting our day. These services are free. The breakfast was amazing. Along with the typical European spread of cereals, meats, breads, & pastries, they offer eggs, sausage, bacon, & tons of other stuff.

Nothing in particular- maybe that the towels provided were of poor quality. You can get nice one if you ask the reception. We call after 10 pm to get towels and robes but they didn't provide room service and had to get them ourself. Just a small detail but it's a 4 stars and room service can be expected I think.

Loved the large, beautiful suite We had a terrific view of the pedestrian area and plenty of space to relax and enjoy some mother-daughter girl time!

We stayed on the 4th floor at the far end of the building and had a wonderful view but no Internet reception. But, the suite was so awesome we didn't mind going to the other end of the hallway to use the Internet!

Breakfast was very nice. The chefs were very good. Beds were very nice

We liked he location.The size of the suite was good and a great bath.

Having booked a suite for our anniversary we had high expectations. Sadly we were disappointed. The fridge in the room did not wok and we were unable to enjoy a drink. In a suite you would expect large fluffy white towels. What we had were thread bare once white now grey towels.We had been travelling for 3 months and had experienced a lot higher standard at a lot less price and lower star rating hotels.

The hotel is in the center of Baden-Baden and a short walk to the baths and restaurants.

The bed was very uncomfortable with a 2" gap between mattresses. Also the shower flooded the bathroom.

Bed was comfortable, room was nice, breakfast was good.

Front desk staff was a bit disappointing for a fancy hotel. The woman who was there when we checked in and in the evening wasn't very helpful.

Somewhat hard to find when driving in; not the most convenient parking.

Great breakfast buffet, large, clean and comfortable room. The hotel is very close to the spas.

WiFi did not "reach" to the room, needed to go to the lobby to get sufficient signal to get on e Internet. The parking is difficult and expensive, not convenient to get to the hotel with luggage as the hotel is in a pedestrian only area.

The hotel is situated in the very heart of Baden Baden. There is no aircondition even if it is a four star hotel...

You have to pay 20 Euro per day in the parking house.

I loved the style and the feel of luxury in a boutique hotel. The atmosphere was wonderful and the location could not be beat.

we drove directly to hotel; difficult navigating our way there from highway.

Although notice saying we were welcome to have a drink in our bar, the bar was never open and indeed all the lights were out and we did not want to go out on a rainy night. We queried this and the lone receptionist said she was on her own and in any case we had a mini bar in our room. The mini bar consisted of two bottles of beer, two cans or bottles of soft drinks. Who wants to drink in their room with no chairs sitting on the bed and looking out onto a brick wall covered in ivy. All in all not a good weeks holiday. This hotel must have been very grand in the past but is now sad and souless.

The single room (number 205) had a window looking at a wall, only at 1 meter distance, which for a 4 stars accomodation was not acceptable

Beautiful hotel, great location, excellent breakfast buffet, nice staff, sauna.

Internet did not work in the room. Parking is pricy.
