Experience in the breakfast room is unique with retro cutlery and decor. The breakfast is delicious, especially the home made fruit preserves and jams.The staff is very friendly.

It was a cozy little hotel with B&B feel to it. Since it's family run, it is the feeling you get, especially during breakfast.

Location is good (city center) but not easy to find the property because it has no ground floor. Staff try their best.

Hotel is situated on the fifth floor and has no lobby, no wide common areas, no ground floor and one cant find all the above facts from the information and pics on the site. Guests are allowed to come to the breakfast with their pets, some dogs can make you happy to share your breakfast with them. Nobody at the reception desk is OK for this hotel, dont worry, you can always call the manager's mobile. All the above is more likely for guest house or B&B but not for the hotel. And the room rates make you sure you book the hotel but not the guest house. And check please no show or late cancellation policy! You have to pay 80% of your total

Toilet was blocked. There is a bit of noise from other rooms and outside. We were lucky that there were not many other people staying there when we visited.

I recently had the joy of staying at the Hotel Barbarossa Garni in Würzburg for seven days. After spending a couple of days exploring Würzburg, I continued to stay at the Barbarossa and did day trips to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Nürnberg, Bamberg and other nearby cities. The efficient trains make this so easy. I initially selected Hotel Barbarossa because of the good reviews and the excellent room price. It turned out to be such a good decision! Sometimes to get a good price you have to give up something. Not at Hotel Barbarossa. It is a great value. My cheery room was up date with a comfortable bed and a pleasant decor. The Barbarossa is located just a short walk from the train station and a bus and tram stop is nearby. I always felt safe to walk at night and my sleep was never disturbed by road traffic. Christine and her staff are multi-lingual and were very friendly and helpful. I was asked each morning if I slept well and the staff helped me when I needed advice or where to find something. In addition to all of this, the included breakfast each morning was amazing. Christine provides a wide assortment of meats, cheeses, breads, spreads, marmalades and fruit. In addition they cook eggs to order and the coffee was excellent. I will certainly be staying at the Hotel Barbarossa again.

I thought the stay was a tiny bit overpriced.

I loved the boutique feel to the hotel. It was very welcoming and comfortable. Free tea and home made cake Yum! Breakfast was amazing. As it was a quiet time of year I was upgraded to a bigger room at no extra cost. Christine dropped me to the train station on my return journey. She was a very welcoming hostess. I loved this hotel and will definitely be back. Total value for money.

Location was excellent, in between the train station and the old town. The hotel is quaint and the manager (Christine) provides a personal touch so it is almost like a B&B. They even boil your eggs to your liking.

I was a bit surprised that there was no staff at the desk when checking in, but realized the hotel is ran at an efficient way. It is not a 5 star but cozy and friendly, also well located near the station in the center of the city.

Nothing much. Minor one that scent of the Air freshener was a bit strong on the first day.

Excelent Location but the hotel itself is located on 4th floor of some building. Dust on blanket.

Nice rooms,terrific location and Christine (I think her name is) who runs the place-she was so..cordial and helpful. She even rode with my husband to the parking garage since it was complicated to get to, so he woouldn't get lost.

Since the breakfast room is cozy with only a handful of tables we had to go back to our room and wait. But we didn't mind to much as we really enjoyed the good breakfast.

Nobody on reception on arrival early evening which would have caused problems in the event of error. Key left on desk and could have been collected by wrong person. Private bathroom in corridor was not provided with an individual lock and was being used by other guests.

Great location with very friendly and helpful staff/owner. No difficulty arriving later at this small well located hotel . Worked well for a party of 3 family members in one room. Would definitely stay again .
