Friendly reception. Fairly small room but with a lovely view. Perfect location in the old town. Very good breakfast. A bit on the expensive side but still good value for money.

The location is good. We can access easily.

In tha bath, there is no shower curtain. So we need to take care of it when we use the shower.

Quiet hotel in convenient location for the old city. Beautiful old building with clean renovated interior. Thoughtful decor with beautiful tasteful Christmas embellishments. Perfect breakfast in simple white crypt like space. Friendly helpful staff. Kettle in room and mini bar downstairs.

The staff were very helpful, to the point of guiding us to the difficultly located rental car station. Our room was comfortable and charming with a view of the Cathedral. Breakfasts were generous in a lovely room.

Location, right in the centre of Bamberg, close to restaurants, shops, university, river; excellent breakfast in a 14th c. room, v. helpful staff, speak English, found a free parking lot for our car, homely atmosphere, small, family-run hotel, lovely decorated with old furniture, kettle and tea/coffee in the room, v. nice view of old Bamberg roofs from the penthouse:) on the 3rd floor; would definitely stay there again

the cold on the last morning due to problems with the heating system, well, things like this do happen :)

Central location in an old building that has been thoroughly modernized inside. The lady who is owner/manager is very knowledgeable and helpful, and pointed us to two terrific nearby restaurants that are not over-run by tourists, but are frequented by locals. The location could not be more central and convenient to Alt Bamberg.

Driving instructions to get through the Alt Stadt to actually cover the last few blocks needed some clarification; I wrote out what I thought would be an improved set of directions, but I haven't yet seen them on the web site for the hotel. The breakfast area, while in a lovely white, multi-vaulted room was understaffed; something was always running out.

Bamberg is a city with a medieval time buildigns. it is a peaceful place, quite. the hotel is comfortable and clean. very close to cith center and the dome.

This privately run hotel is as beautiful as on the website. And right at the center of all major sights in Bamburg. The owners are very professional and very helpful too from advising a good restaurant to arranging .parking space.

Excellent location, nice room, good breakfast, pleasant owners.

A bit difficult to find by car and directions provided were not too clear. We cancelled the third night at five days' notice and they threatened to charge 80% of the room charge for that night - seems a harsh interpretation of your conditions, but in the end they didn't apply it...

No way to contact owners or any responsible party after 8pm. The hotel should be manned or an emergency number should be provided for after hour emergencies

It was an amazing service. Owners are fantastic. I strongly recommend to stay at this hotel. Bamberg is a great city.

The staff, I think they were the proprietors, were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean in comparison with the hotel in Jena, Germany at which I had been staying. The beds were clean and comfortable. The hotel is situated in the heart of Bamberg Altstadt and therefore all the historic attractions were in easy walking distance. This was very important for us as we were enroute for Italy and could only afford to stop long enough to have a brief look at the town in order to decide whether to stay there for a longer period next year.

It was very difficult to find the hotel by car and we eventually had to abandon the car and look for the hotel on foot. This will not be a problem on a future visit, which I hope to make. In fact, its hidden away location is liked. It will deter the riff-raff.
