The staff there was extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good (traditional german breakfast). Location was great, seemed like we were located in the middle of everything we wanted to go see while we where there. The room was small and a little out dated but it served the purpose...we were only in the room at night so looks didn't matter. Room was clean and warm. We also brought our small dog along and was not charged for having her in room. The bed was hard but I liked it, they had flat feather pillows - recommend bringing your own pillow. The room seems pretty quiet, only heard people when they were in the stairwell.
Wifi was only available in lobby. Stairwell was a tight squeeze but it wasn't a big deal.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Delicious kitchen.
The rooms are a bit old.
Excelent hosts - friendly and interested in tourists Only 40km drive to Garmish-PartenKircken Restaurant food and prices Nice local vib in the restaurant at night Breakfast was sufficent Over all if visiting Newschwanstien or the Zugspits this is an awesome option as both are no more than 30-45 min drive. You could spend a week in this area and this is a good base if driving.
Nothing really that is not petty - such as both doors, to the bathroom and the main door did not open properly without scrapping the floor.
Location Clean Comfortable Very friendly family
VERY friendly staff
The owners were very friendly and the food was excellent! Diner and breakfast delicious and very cheap!
Difficult to get our suitcase upstairs, because we had to climb very high and the stairs were narrow.
Room great, breakfast excellent, dinner also excellent.
Lack of soundproofing. Neighbors were noisy.
Just a wonderful little hotel. The people are amazing family run hotel. The service is excellent and the food was delicious. Best schnitzel in Germany.....my wife and I loved it.
Pleasant owner, Big room, Quiet location, Romantic route, Cows next to way, Neuschwanstein Castle is located nearby,Very good restaurant in Landhotel zum Metzgerwirt.
Breakfast could be better for your health.
Conrad the manager and his wife was so welcoming, assisting us to our double room and showing us little extras like the bed that you could raise and hidden bedside lights.. what a gem. The room was roomy clean and the heater worked a dream. Breakfast was great with personal service ...and my freshly cooked eggs was greatly appreciated. Conrad was helpful with knowledge of the town and places to see. Thank you
wifi was only available in the dining room.
Conrad was a very attentive and funny host. Excellent breakfast. Good size room with terrace. Good parking
Needs updating but still quite charming
WiFi and parking were very good. Host was exceptionally accommodating. Breakfast was wonderful.
Comfortable bed. Good food. Wonderful family owned business. Very helpful with knowledge of area attractions.
Very clean and quaint. Hosts were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel.
A nice family run small hotel, where everyone was helpful and friendly. Comfortable bed and good breakfast.
Nothing to complain about.
the boss is very helpful on giving the information.
Gisela and Conrad were wonderful. Although they only speak a little English, and we only a little German we got along fine. They gave us excellent ideas of things to see. We only booked 2 nights but spent 4 because the location was great for visiting the area we wanted to see. We went to Munich via the S Bahn which was very easy. Just ask Conrad. Breakfast was great. Dinners were too. And they take Credit Cards.
Internet only worked in restaurant not in our room. TV was very hard to get to work. Our room was on the street and a little noisy. The other rooms in the back we're quiet according to our friends.
A very enjoyable stay, we planned on 1 night on our way through but ended up staying 2 nights and wishing we had the time and stayed longer. Conrad (owner & butcher) and his family welcomed us with big smiles and open arms and as we had just got off our motorcycle drenched because of pouring rain they couldnt do enough for us to get us warm, checked in and comfortable. Once we were settled, Conrad suggested we take a walk in the small village and suggested we take a look at the very old church and the very old graves, very interesting. Dinner, cooked by his wife was fabulous, his Mother served us drinks and although she didnt speak a word of english or we understand German she chatted away to us, while his daughter sat and chatted to us and they made us feel like we were part of the family. After Conrad showed us a map of things that we must see and showed us a nice bike ride loop seeing these things, we decided to stay an extra night. Staying the extra night turned out to be the best night we had had so far. Another fabulous meal and some of the locals joined us, so with the locals and the family showing us Bavarian Hospitality we felt like we were at home, so many good laughs. The breakfasts were a good start to the day with personalised service in the dining room. Our room was a double room, it was nice and comfy and cosy. Overall a fantastic little gem of a place, only approx 34km from the fabulous castle Neuschwanstein in Schwangau. Thoroughly recommend this little guest house if you want to be looked after.
good and quiet location friendly owner
bad quality breakfast with prepackaged honey, jam and butter and nr 3 (worst quality) egg in a village gasthof? not clean bathroom poorly furnished room no wifi at all
Everything!!! very hospitable hosts, nice house, delicious breakfast Konrad knows a lot about surroundings he gave us useful information about sightseeings and helped to plan the trip for the next day there was wi-fi in our room, you can pay for the room by card or by cash, big parking at both sides of the house
The owner and his family are absolutely wonderful people. Mr. Pfab was very friendly and helpful with many ideas and suggestions on where to go and what to see in the area. Mrs. Pfab and their son are fabulous cooks and we enjoyed having dinners during our stay. Their soups are amazing. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was very good. Bavarian music played by a young man in the dining room added a wonderful warm and cozy atmosphere. The best place we stayed on our two week tour of Bavaria!
Very friendly welcome. Great advice by the owner who really knows and loves his Heimat.
the cook probably must have been in love, adding genereously salt and oil to the dishes. Improvement (and savings) possible!
