Hotel Bayrischer Hof    

Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. A brisk 25 minute walk from the hotel down the pedestrian walkway lined with shops will give you a good view of the Heidelberg castle up on the hill

Parking for the hotel is on the 3rd underground level of a somewhat dark parking structure that is fairly close to the hotel. Dropping off and picking up luggage can be done in front of the hotel while you are parked in a bicycle path lane, but we had not problem spending a few minutes there. These issues are pretty typical of downtown hotel locations.

Ms. INGRID at the front desk went out of her way to make our 30-yr anniversary become an unforgetable experience. The supporting staff was clued-in on our special event and made everything happen for us. Without a doubt, we remain indebted to the hospitality and warmth of this hotel.

This is one of the most satisfying hotel I have ever stayed. Staff are kind and the room was large and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is not in old city but it takes less then 5 minutes to get to main street in old town.

Fantastic location next to the Bismarckplatz! Very clean hotel and very friendly. We arrived before our room was ready but we were able to leave our luggage at the desk so we could explore Heidelberg. Fast Wi-Fi. We were able to receive a late check out as well. Breakfast was good, traditional Euro style.

Excellent staff. Clearly a well-trained and well-managed team. Of the 100+ hotels used through booking.com this is the only one to send me a thank-you letter.

Although just off the central pedestrianised area, the best bits are at the other end, up to a mile away. So be prepared fro the walk.

The staff, the place and the breakfast are very good.

The room was very large with a comfortable bed and a clean, modern bath. The hotel was located just off the pedestrian area and was about a 10-15 minute walk to the castle. The breakfast was very good.

Close to old town and all the shops and restaurants. Close distance to tram and bus. Very helpful.

Not all staff could speak English enough to be comfortable. One staff member avoided talking to us because his English was not good.

The staff are excellent - always friendly and very helpful, good facilities including parking and free wi-fi, excellent breakfast. This is my first choice of hotel for business in Heidelberg.

Big rooms, pleasant staff, convenient location within walking distance of old town, river and castle, good breakfast. Biggest attraction, though, is the city of Heidelberg itself. This is a stunning place, with the only old town in Europe that can claim to rival the mother of cities, Prague. This was my third stay in this hotel and I have always been impressed.

Some of the rooms facing the main road can be a little noisy.

Very friendly, welcoming staff (champagne offered on arrival!) The hotel is a training hotel and based on the result the training is of a high standard. The hotel is recently renovated, close to the main shopping street, the Neckar and about 10 minutes to the railway to the castle.

Would be good if tea / coffee making facilities were available, but they were happy to prepare one in their kitchen.

The Bayrisher Hof is simply PERFECT! To begin with I had got immediately an upgrade on my room, the staff was the friendliest I met so far in all Germany, the breakfast is pure luxury and for Easter I had a little present from the management: a chocolate bunny and a bottle of wine!

So sweet to offer champagne when I check in
