Excelsior Hotel Berlin  

Excellent hotel, good location, helpful staff. Only good feelings. In my next visit I will definitely stop at this hotel again.

We had no idea that the hotel was a budget hotel based on pictures and ratings. We enjoyed best the restaurant located in lobby. Signe Godfrey

The size of the room accommodates one suitcase, it was incredibly small, the staff gave poor directions and gave the impression that I was bothering them.

The location was excellent, rooms were very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A lot of building work nearby, possibly to the sewerage system so sometimes there was a bad smell in the surrounding area.

3 floor....to small rooms

Fantastic bar lounge area.

Don't like single beds that move! Rooms bit on small side even after upgrade to superior.

The hotel was very comfortable and spacious, the staff very helpful, dinner was expensive but excellent, breakfast too dear so we ate out.

The air condition was not working, I was visting to do the Berlin marathon, once the marathon was over we asked to change rooms as we were staying on extra days, we did get moved to another room - the air condition also wasnt working - could have done without being so dehydrated while doing the marathon

I came over for Berlin Marathon and overall experience was great. Location was very convenient and staff were very helpful and rooms were good, comfortable and quiet.

Bathroom had no extractor fan and there was no response to 2 complaints on the fault. Decor was a little tired

Lobby and brasserie are well designed and have nice ambiance and overall are of a good quality.

We stayed in rooms 408, 208, 502. We moved from room to room as either showers were blocked or bathrooms had very thick sewer smell.The last room (502) did not have the sewer smell but "only" what I would describe as not fresh. Some of the reception staff were rude and responded aggressively. During the breakfast there were not enough plates and tea glasses, one had to "fight" for the sitting place.
