What a great find. An 18th century inn deep in the black forest. Fantastic food for an evening meal and hearty breakfast. (locals ate here) Atmospheric get away with cycling, walking and winter options. Friendly, English speaking hosts who made sure our stay was to our expectations.

The general environment. The owner was very nice, the food at downstairs restaurant was very good and at a reasonable price. It's great if you go by car. Too bad we didn't bring our skii-set, as there was really nice snow and a cross-country skiing station all around the area.

Favourite place we have stayed at in Germany. A very traditional guesthouse. Super friendly hosts, fantastic restaurant, clean and comfortable facilities, and incredibly priced. Only wish we had stayed there longer!!!

The owners as well as the staff were helpful, friendly and courteous. The food served in the restaurant was very good, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The location of the place was way up in the Black Forest and it was really quite beautiful. We'd probably go there again if we went back to Germany. We didn't like the shared bathroom. When we booked the room it stated that it was a shared bathroom, we figured maybe between 2 rooms. We didn't realize that one bathroom (2 toilets, 1 shower) was shared between multiple rooms...I Think it was 6 rooms.

Location was good, problem is they aren't there Monday and Tuesday, so it was deserted while we were there, but the day we arrived they were there and it was a very busy day.

Wonderful place and wonderful people. It s like a travel in a fairy story. If you go to the hotel and you use gps insert your direction when you arrive in Furtwangen not before.

More than met our expectation, great comfortable stay, nothing to fault. All staff showed excellent sevice from the time we arrived until the last minute of our stay. Clean, warm family atmosphere, great food and great traditional settings every where. All staff went above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable, very satisfied and having a wonderful stay, any query or request was accommodated. Food was very good, excellent breakfast choice, great start to the day. Karen and Franz were excellent hosts and we are definitely going back to the Berggasthof Martinskapelle again and again and recommend it to all our families and friends.

Franz, the owner is born to accept guests. His hospitality, and the quality of services (room, breakfast) is five star. We are already longing to return to Martinskapelle! Bedankt, Franz! We could spend too little time there..

Location - amazing spot in the black forest. Staff - very helpful and welcoming people, happy to go for extra mile if needed. Building - old building, everything made of wood to give you a feeling of being in fairy tale land. I wish we had stayed longer....

Das Abendessen und auch das Frühstücksbüffet war wirklich gut. Es war sehr kalt in dieser Nacht und in den Schlafräumen wurde nicht geheizt.

MartinsKapelle é muito bonito, caminhando ou com a bike, dá para passar bons momentos. O hotel, é todo em Madeira (range ao andar) de 1722. O hotel estava fechado, (reserva foi aceita) fomos levados por um hotel vizinho que nos deu a chave. Estava vazio. Um rapaz que deve ser da família me procurou para eu por o carro do parking. (Tudo estava vazio??, Na rua e no parking) Faltou iniciativa de me antecipar a situação por e-mail. Ou seja não foram profissionais

Idealer Ausgangspunkt zu gut gespurten Loipen oder zu kleineren Rundwanderungen. Wir haben uns auf einfache Art sehr gut erholt und kommen bald wieder.

Csodálatos hétvégét töltöttünk itt! :) Nagyon családias fogadó.Kiváló ételek.Kedves házigazdák. :) Remek ár - érték arány! Rengeteg túraútvonal indul a szálláshelytől és pár méterre található a Duna-forrás is. Az őszi erdő gyönyörű a rengeteg hegyi patakocskával! :) Máskor is visszatérünk!!

Caratteristico, famiglia che lo gestisce cordiale e accogliente molto carino Se proprio devo trovare difetti: poco riconoscibile mancanza di indicazioni (Berggasthof non compare da nessuna parte) cara la colazione la stessa a stoccarda € 4.80 contro I 10€

Unser Aufenthalt im Berggasthof war leider viel zu kurz. Das wunderschöne alte Haus und die sehr sympathischen Betreiber haben unseren Aufenthalt dort sehr versüßt.

Questo posto meraviglioso è stato il momento più bello della mia vacanza (15 gg tra germania ed austria). Abbiamo soggiornato 3 giorni, la struttura è immersa nel verde, a pochi metri partono moltissimi sentieri escursionistici. I gestori sono delle persone eccezionali, divertenti, sorridenti, di una cortesia che difficilmente abbiamo trovato altrove durante il viaggio. Le stanze sono tutte di legno, spartane e rustiche, ma molto accoglienti e caratteristiche. La cucina merita almeno quanto il panorama, la prima colazione è abbondante in qualità e in quantità...insomma, è un paradiso questo posto! Ci tornerò sicuramente l'anno prossimo!

Etablissement très bien situé, au calme, isolé au coeur de la Forêt noire, idéal pour des balades reposantes. Accueil familial, chambres boisées et propres. Excellent petit déjeuner. Terrasse ensoleillée pour les journées d'été. Peut-être les horaires de fin de service du diner, un peu tôt pour des Français (19h ou 19h30 selon les jours)... mais un peu de répit dans l'auberge la plus proche tenue par le fils des propriétaires (20h) !
