The setting and proximity to motorway were good. Our room was very spacious with good view of lake. Easy parking for our car. Excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly.
Bathroom rather small and a bit old fashioned. Sadly a bit of a mix-up with our dinner order, possibly due to a language misunderstanding. Free wifi in room would be good in a 4* hotel.
Very beautiful landscape
We had a bad night with mosquitoes !
Friendly and helpful staffs We had very nice dinner in the hotel at reasonable price. Wonderful view to the lake and mountain Free parking is good
Once we were checked in, the man at the desk escorted us to our room. I don't think I'd ever had that experience at a hotel before which was nice. The room was spacious and had a wonderful view. We all enjoyed the pool. The selection of food at breakfast was plentiful. We had our dog with us and there were plenty of places to take him for walks around the hotel. The style of some things in the room seemed "old", especially in the bathroom, but it fit to the atmosphere of the place, and everything was clean.
We ordered dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and were a little disappointed at the quality and quantity of the food for the price. Maybe the Menu of the Halbpension would've been a better deal.
The staff was the highlight of our stay at the Hotel. From politeness, very good English (which was a big bonus), and sheer satisfaction on how helpful the staff was for answering questions and assisting us in reserving tickets for the Neuschwanstein Castle tour. It was truly a beautiful experience and recommend this establishment to anyone.
It's not so much a negative but more of a suggestion; there breakfast hours are from 0800-1000, and that doesn't work well for early risers that have trips and tours planned for 0730-0800. I would only recommend that they would set the breakfast a bit earlier.
Excellent food - you need to eat in at least one night. Mix of Bavarian character and modern facilities works well.
Parking could be a difficult when arriving late and the hotel is busy.
Got upgraded to a suite for free due to no other rooms being available. The view from the balcony was the most amaizing hotel view I have ever seen. Nice breakfast. Parking opposite of the main entrance.
Views are just outstanding even when it is raining.
Where you sit in the dining room is pre-assigned and stays the same even for breakfast. This can be annoying if you seated at the back of the restaurant away from the views.
Swingin pool and sauna were good, but for some reason these were split off from the steam room, which was a pain as ther laminate floor between was just made to slip on. Good food and a loverley setting to eat it in overlooking the lake.
Being charged EUR2.50 for a half litre of tap water for the evening meal - just not nice. View from the room - non existant compared to most other rooms in the hotel.
Spa, breakfast, dinner, the view!!! Parking. Perfection.
(We stayed for only one night) The location was nice and the service was good. The breakfast had many alternatives to choose from.
That the furniture was a bit worn down. We expected more from a four star hotel. We came at 20.30 in the evening and the SPA closed at 21.00 and opened at 08.00 in the morning. When we asked to stay at the SPA after checkout time (11.00) we had to pay an extra 50 euro. That was not good service when we had stayed the night there. (We didn't use the SPA)
The staff, the view, and the attention to detail!
The location is so relaxing, the meals were always superb, breakfast and dinner. Our stay was only 2 nights but we could have stayed for 2 weeks it was such a wonderful Hotel
Everything . Will be back.
Everything excellent, Service, food, rooms. Best choice for price/ quality. Unfortunately too short stay!
This was a traditional Bavarian hotel. Very beautiful and the scenery was amazing. Staff were very friendly.
It was 5 miles from the train station and cost 15 euro in a taxi which I thought was quite pricey. After I checked out, I waited for a bus to take me to Fussen however, it never arrived. The walk from the hotel to Fussen is quite long but amazing. I would assume taxi or walking into Fussen as the buses didn't seem regular.
There was a very friendly welcome from the staff. The room was large and very clean and we were lucky enough to have a balcony with a magnificent view. The carpark was free and it was only about 15 minutes drive from Neuschwanstein. There were beautiful country walks up behind the hotel. The buffet breakfast was excellent.
No negatives at all.
pillows, no gym room to exercise
