Good night sleep in a comfortable bed with reasonable speed internet. It was only confusing that there was a different hotelname on the outside of the building.

My husband and I and our 16 year old son stayed here for 4 nights and had a beautiful suite on the 5th floor. The main room was massive and had a seating area, writing table and very comfortable double bed. Our son had a small single room off the main room which was perfect. The bathroom has a full bath and is spotless - particularly loved the bath tap. The room was quiet but the hotel is ideally located close to the city centre. There are also a number of restaurants within walking distance which the receptionist directed us to. You can easily walk to the main station or take the 42 bus which is only 3 stops. The reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast was available from 6.30-10.30 and even later on Sundays which is great if you want a bit of a lie in. Excellent value for money in a central location. Would definitely stay there again. Just be aware that all the signs are for Hotel Bergmeister - don't know why.

The hotel & facilities were acceptable. I searched for the Hotel Astoria for nearly an hour before finding out from a local Policeman that it had changed it's name. Then to top it all I discovered that the address I had been given was not where I was staying & I had to travel for a further 15 minutes into the City to find the hotel I had been booked into. It was a total shambles & the staff thought it was a great joke. I did not.

great relation between price and quality, breakfast better than expected (fresh orange juice, eggs, almost like a 4 star), bus stop at 100 m to reach the main station, clean rooms (furniture a little bit old, but in very good conditions).

A struggle to think of anything positive tbh. I booked this on what appeared to be a deal of a reduced rate for the single room - that quite frankly appears to be a con to get people to book the rooms thinking they are getting a decent 135 euro room for much less when they then book you into a room that if thats worth 135 euro, Im Santa Claus. The "quiet" location is far from that - there were deliveries to the neighbouring Pennymarkt all night long, and what appeared to be skips being emptied on a seeming hourly basis during the night. Sleep was intermittent. My car got keyed on the window parked outside the hotel during the night. The hotel has been renamed - asking for the Astoria takes you to a different hotel!! Staff in the breakfast hall didnt even bother to ask if I wanted coffee in the morning. Not a good stay for me.

The jacuzzi in the room was great. The rooms with jacuzzi are in the basement, so there was not much air, and it was a bit too dark. The room and bathroom in general were not very clean (There was a plastic-plant in the room which for example was covered in dust)

After travelling for almost two weeks, staying in a suite with a seating area, a brilliant bathroom complete with everything you could possibly need and where my daughter had her own private room was a happy relief. The name shown on the website was not the name advertised on the side of the hotel. Although it was called 'Hotel Astoria am Urachplatz' on all the paperwork, the name on the building read: 'Hotel Bergmeister'.

When you get shocked with the staff manner you can never feel confortable in this hotel I never recommend this hotel to anyone as the staff are not polite, however they have your credit card info but they ask you for money in check in, and also you will notice abnormal manner of staff.

On bus line to city. Quiet. Rooms had plenty of space. Acceptable breakfast buffet. Had a lift for upper level rooms. Lights from Penny Markt were bright and on same level as our room.

The staff was friendly and it was close to downtown which was easy to get to by bus and which stopped close by the hotel. I wish they would have shampoo and soaps as well as wash cloths for their guests. We had run and shop for those.

The room was quite big enough for three person. All the hotel needs renovation. Why do not change the hotel insegna? All that moquettes on the floor and the chinese stuffs are very strange in a german hotel. The breakfast was not good.

Parking in the hotel costs 10 euro per day, but you can use a parking in the street which is free. Room is not new but ok. It's really good for 30 euro per night.

Good breakfast, clean room, just behind a supermarket. No private parking and public parking was always full. Completely different name as shown on the outside wall of the hotel. Booked a double room but was only given a twin-bed room.

Value for money was really great. The 3bed room is more of a 2 1/2 room appartment without kitchen. We enjoyed it thoroughly and could retreat in the room perfectly. - Breakfast was really good and fresh fruit as well as excellent scrambled eggs. - Parking was perfect. The position of the hotel is not central though main station/Königsstrasse can be reached in 20 minutes with public transport. - Excellent breakfast though very crowded every day.

Nice quiet area but with easy access to the city centre using the trams. Part of the hotel is in a separate building which is shared with several offices. The name of the hotel seems to have changed which is confusing; "Astoria am Urachplatz" was just o a piece of paper stuck to the front door. The breakfast area is rather cramped.

“The staff was so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was wonderful with a vast selection of very good and healthy food. My husband and I enjoyed being in the center of the City of Stuttgart with all of its excitement, shopping, restaurants and eating places. The city was lively at night with young people, families and older folks like us. We were able to walk from our hotel room to all of this in the city center within five to ten minutes. If we were to travel to Stuttgart again, we would stay at the Hotel Astoria. We have good memories of our stay there. ” Joan, Wexford, Pennsylvania |
