Best Western Hotel Scala

The hotel is close to the city center.

The rooms are tiny, the bath-tub is half the usual size. It smells of cigarette smoke everywhere - when other guests smoked in the rooms on our floor it was impossible to stay in the room. The hotel is very noisy as one can hear what`s happening in other rooms. The staff at the reception is not friendly and not trying to be helpful (it depends on the shift though). Our last night at the hotel we couldn`t even have even tea in the evening, however in the evenings before this we we were served tea and coffee by the reception staff. On the whole the hotel is rather is a 2**. The quality of the hotel and the service is very poor against the price.

The location was very central and close to the underground etc. The rooms were clean and comfortable and good value for what we paid.

It was a very good hotel, clean, comfortable, well located, decent breakfast included in room price, an altogether very pleasant experience. Staff was very helpful and polite.

One problem only - free coffee/tea are advertised, but in fact each cup needs to be prepared upon request by the reception staff, so in the end one becomes reluctant to ask. They need to have a self-serve pot or machine, it would not be expensive, but would considerably increase the comfort level for the guests.

It was a convenient location near a major U-Bahn stop. The room, at the back of the hotel and on the 8th floor, was very quiet.

The website did not explain that the bathroom had a "demi-tub," a little thing that a person can only sit in, not stretch out properly for a bath. Also, the room was smaller than the website led me to expect. All in all, I did not think that the room was good value for the money.

The hotel is close to a subway station, which is very very convinient to get arround the city and the airport.

The internet access in the room is too expensive - 4 Eueo per hour, (we have to rely the one free internet connection in the lobby to check our email messages.)

The hotel is conveniently located in the center of the city. The breakfast is great!

My room in the 9th floor was more than small. Besides the elevator goes only till the 8th floor, after that the stair. Not nice if you travel with the luggage.

Perfect location, next to the famous shopping area Zeil. Very good value for money. Friendly and helpful staff.

No A/C , which can be a problem during the hotter summer days.

The room was relatively inexpensive and in a good location near the Zeil.

The room was very small, no air conditioning, and was on the 9th floor when the elevator only reached the 8th floor.
