First....No air conditioning! Second...Room facing the train
station...very noisy! Third...WiFi...very weak, slow. Fourth...Yes,
there's a tv in the room. If you're an English Speaking
American, forget about watching anything short of cnn and the bbc News.
If you're Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Arab, French, German,
etc...You'll be fine! Germans love Hollywood movies and American tv
shows...so much apparently that they dub over EVERYTHING...very
annoying! One movie channel or the option to purchase movies (like most
other hotels abroad) would be really nice! Also...don't expect an
English language morning newspaper down in the lobby either...anything
would have been nice! Even a Brit tabloid would have been welcomed!
Nothing. So, when all else fails...go down to the lounge...?! No. One
small flat screen tv on a wall tucked in a far corner...Most nights the
sound of crickets was the only thing louder than the pseudo-80s Euro-
American mix love tunes playing in the background. The menu was really
limited. Eventually I discovered that the main train station across the
road had a food court where I could get some really good food at a
reasonable price...The wait staff, while very polite, was inexperienced.
Also, sometimes there seemed to be one person running between both the
bar and the restaurant...so order your beers two at a time... I will
shop more carefully next time for a hotel in Leipzig. (BTW...this is a
chain hotel...13 In Germany?)
The room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was
