The Birnbaumhof was beautifully located in a small rural village just outside Ramstein Air Force Base where you can get away from the big city and enjoy the comfort and friendliness of a small town. The proprietor was very nice and really welcomed you into their place. The room was very clean and large enough to relax. The breakfast was perfect and I was presented with their specialty of scrambled eggs with ham. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting to get away from it all. It is also close to a number of bike routes and they cater to many of the cycling community.

The family/staff was very friendly! The rooms were large, clean, comfortable, well equipped and included free Internet/WiFi. I stayed there for a visit to Ramstein afb which is just 2-3 miles away. Great location, quiet, excellent authentic German breakfast with good selection. Arrived Monday night when most Restaurants are closed but they recommended an excellent, authentic and charming Restaurant nearby (Kääser). I don't think I got good cell reception but didn't need the phone so it didn't matter.

A good quiet location in a small village but handy for Kaiserslautern. Clean room with good tv and free internet. Breakfast was freshly cooked. Staff friendly. No compliants.

It is run by family members and I was really surprised how they made me feel like I was part of their family. Even thought there were other guests staying there, they made me feel like I was their only guest. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks!

Excellent service, careful attention to detail and immaculate throughout. Charming and obliging owners made for a very relaxing stay. Spacious, comfortable and well appointed rooms, we liked the three views of gardens and woodland/fields from three different windows in our apartment. Breakfast was great and fresh eggs cooked to order very enjoyable. For dinner, good, simple food in Schwedelbach is available only 5 mins walk. We recommend the 20 min walk across the ridge to a very nice restaurant in the next village (sorry name escapes me) to the North East, otherwise local eating choices are limited. Very conveniently located for Airbase (5 mins in car) but you would not know it is nearby - pleasant feeling of detachment. Could not have asked for more for the price. Would book again with confidence and recommend to friends.
