Old hotel, shower doors are big challenge to close them

The stuff were nice, breakfast is tasty. The hotel is 30 min walk from the center, surrounded by small shops, near a tramway stop.

Time by time the Internet connection was quite bad.

We used this hotel as my daughter was moving to Freiburg University, so being just opposite her halls was very convenient. Well placed also for the tram to go into city centre. Very clean and efficient.

We had very heavy bags with us, so being on the second floor without a lift was a killer. Would have been nice to have a bath as well as a shower, but that's is me just being fussy.

Staff were helpful and spoke excellent English. Walking distance to good Italian restaruant and grocery store

Typical German efficiency: Clean, well run and organized. Free parking and wifi. Very good breakfast included. Value $. Very friendly staff at the reception. Location is just outside the city center and short tram ride to the city.

The pillows - they look and feel like quilt cut into 4 pieces. Very large & square but no shape/filling- Just floppy. They need to get new proper pillows. 2 floors with no lift. so those traveling with heavy luggages be warned. Other than that, all is perfect.

This was a modest establishment and suited to those who wished to spend their time visiting Freiburg. The room was small enough and the general decor was unimaginative. The big plus is is that it is close to the tram-line and that there is the most fantastic Italian restaurant next door where you can round up the day and relax before you flop into bed.

The host was quite pleasant when we arrived but thereafter we met only staff and it was quite impersonal. We booked a triple room and it could , at best, be described as bijou.

Price, Wi Fi internet in the room, hotel free parking, and location. Facility hotel is basic and has good staff.

Stopped in the hotel in a room for 3, for one night. Drove straight past the sign to the hotel but spotted access road on way back. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who explained the way into Freiburg city centre on a free map. There was free car parking next to the hotel and a supermarket and restaurants were very close. The room was modern and seemed clean. There was free wifi, breakfast was £5 and was ok. The tram stop for city centre was 3 minutes away and the 4 stop journey took about 8 minutes. We on way back we walked it in 20.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. They prepared us a special breakfast on our departure day because we had an early train to catch. Copious and delicious breakfasts - excellent value for money. Really comfortable room and quiet surroundings, in a natural setting but only a short tramride from the town centre. Top marks across the board.

We only stayed 1 night but we've been woken up by some noise outside the hotel quite early in the morning (6/7 am). It might be a one-off though.

The management was friendly and efficient, and the rooms clean. There is a supermarket and restaurant near by. Overall the hotel was OK.

The location is not great - it is in a working class residential area From outside, the hotel doesn't look great - no real gardens, etc.

We stayed there for 4 nights and we all love the hotel. Just 4 tram stops (5 mins) away from the main train station. Quite surrounding but comes with all daily needs you want. Supermaket (Penny) is just next to the hotel closed at 10pm! There is a Italian restaurant in front of the hotel, and big lake (park) 3 mins walking distance. Comfort bed and super breakfast, staffs are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

No lift, and we have to climb up to 3rd floor with our heavy luggagues.

The hotel is nicely located beside a decent Italian restaurant and a small grocery store. It's about a five minute walk to the tram that takes you into downtown. And the breakfast was excellent; lots of selection.
