The room is very small and hot in May when outside is bout 15C. The room has smells. It needs updates

Very short walk from the Dusseldorf train station, but not in the noise or confusion of it. Very well-run, family-owned and operated hotel. Very nice breakfast included. Staff helpful and friendly.

*The hotel is fairly old, so is the furniture. *very small room. We did not have place for 2 med sized suitcases. *Front desk staff can be better in terms of customer service. *No shampoos, flip flops, body lotion... etc. was given, except for a dispenser of soap and shampoo that was very low in quality. *No water boiler in the room

I liked the breakfast buffet they provide, with lots of fresh fruit, like water melon, melon, pineapple, kiwi. I really look forward to go to breakfast everyday there, the breakfast was better than that of the four star hotel in stayed in Luxembourg the previous week. The staff were also quite friendly and helpful.

The place is a bit small, lifts and corridors and etc.

The sauna and fitness did not give you the impression it is well used and taken care of. The area around the window looking in the pool needs major work. After seeing that made me decide it might not be a good idea to use the sauna.

Location to the train station is absolutely fantastic. Breakfast is VERY good Price is not to crazy

I think the gentleman on nightshift when I stayed on the 5th May really didn't want to be there...hardly spoke when questioned - grumpy demeanor. All changed in the morning with the happy staff. Beware of the rooms under stairwells..makes it a noisy stay with people trudging above your head - I had earplugs (Always a good thing to have in your toiletry bag) so no big issue.

It's situated 200m from Railway station and 20 min by foot from centre city, pubs and restaurants. Perfect breakfast and a bed for relaxation.

Unfortunatly we hadn't a balcony in the hotel room so how we had rent on mansard floor and a bathroom was very small.

The breakfast was really good and the staff were extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. The location was brilliant.

My room smelled of stale smoke as I had accidentally booked into a smoking room.

Hotel Bismarck is located just across Düsseldorf Hbf, and yet it is quiet and calm. I could get my sleep and rest very well which is at great importance at business trips. The staff is very friendly and very polite - greeting each guest in thier own language in the morning is very thoughtful, the fruits and chocolate we received to the room was quite polite. I will chose Hotel Bismarck for my future trips to Düsseldorf. The hotel is 15 min walk to kö, and Altstadt great for shoppers and night birds :) I also liked that we received free Fahrkart for vrr, very useful. The breakfast was so much better than what I have expected. Receiving eggs on request is very good in the morning.

The walls could have been isolated a little bit more better. I could hear the next door.

The hotel was perfect for me. After flying in to Dusseldorf I caught the train to the main train station (HauptBahnhof) and walked 2 minutes to be at the hotel. Cross the road, turned left, next street on the right. I really can't complain about anything unless you want super luxury, but for the price and outstanding breakfast with friendly service, you can't go wrong.

Not a huge thing, but if you don't like stairs, you may by waiting a minute for the lift. Like I said, tiny thing that may make some people complain, but I really had to think hard for a bad point of this family run hotel. It is overall really great value for money.

the room is really not sound-proof. Very loud noise from neighbors, hallways... If they can make it sound-proof, the hotel will be the super nice one.
