A wonderful room (or apartment), great people, a fantastic breakfast, and easy access and parking says it all. Located in Otterberg very near Kaiserslautern, it is a great location from which to visit Kaiserslautern, Trier, Idar-Oberstein, Bernkastle-Kues and Saarbrucken. The rooms aqare nice, but with 3 adults they put us in a separate apartment, with three bedrooms, a sitting room, dining area/kitchen and balconey. Nicely furnished it was very clean, beautiful oriental rugs on floor and plenty of hot water in the bathroo. M. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and the gentleman running the breakfast room was efficient and cordial. Heat was controllable and adequate -- important as we visited in last December 2012. The buffet breakfast was the best we have had on this two week trip, and one of the best we have had ever in Germany -- included typical sliced meats, brotchen, a variety of cheeses, cold cereals, fruits, yoghurt, eggs, etc. a great stay -- highly recommended and we will definitely stay here again on another trip o the K'Town area.

Loved the location in the center of Otterberg. The hotel was full of charm. It wasn't luxury but warm and cozy. The restaurant was delicious and it was wonderful it was just down the stairs.

The owner and the staff were really nice people. Restaurant was extremely good and the price comparing the other hotels were very cheap. I can say that everything was excellent.

The quaint design of the room. It was amazing! It is also in town. It had good internet. The building is historic and it oozes charm.

The parking was street parking, and limited. It was free, however.

Wi-fi signal quite low in the room; there's a bell right next to the hotel, working also in the evening/morning; avoid restaurant... too long times and unfriendly staff

We could have a late lunch when we arrived at around 9 pm.The people at the restaurant/bar were very friendly and helpful.

Horrible noisy place where we could not get any sleep.They gave us a room literally in the reception lobby(inbetween the reception desk and the breakfast room).Starting at 6 am we could not slep anymore since people started to wake up,check in/out,have breakfast,talk in the lobby.Terrible. Additionally,we faced the worst breakfast ever(extremely poor).At 9.30 we found in the breakfast room literally 2 slices of cheese..and that was about it....(even if they state that breakfast was up to 10 am).We asked for some eggs and we got them RAW.When I showed the lady in charge the eggs swimming in their own liquid(supposed to be boiled),she showen no empathy for this and with a sauer face she started to boil some others... Very poor and very bad breakfast.

- The small city is "charmant", clean, and welcoming. - the hotel is nice, clean, friendly and with a good restaurant inside the hotel.

- Being a family with two children and a baby carriage, usually you don`t give the upper rooms/appartments.

Big open rooms. Booked a Triple Room and was fortunate to be allocated a mini apartment including two rooms. One for the children and one for the grown ups. Breakfast is a bargain at 5 euros per person - all taken at customers trust.

Parking is limited

Beautiful hotel in a great location at an excellent price. The staff were great as was the breakfast (5 euros pp) and the hotel restaurant. Hotel accepted vat form and all staff spoke very good English. Wi-fi is also free. I will definitely go back with my family (perfect weekend getaway location or for military tla)

Everything was excellent and extras were offered in the room that were enjoyable, hair dryer, robe, fruit and water and wine. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of choices. The restaurant in the building was good as well. We enjoyed the quaint and quiet ambiance of the hotel and location. I would highly recommend.

It was a nice hotel for the price. My daughter enjoyed the free internet. There were nice eatery next to the hotel we enjoyed very much. It was also close to Ramstien AFB as well. I would stay there again.

The room was very clean but they did not bring wash clothes for some reason the second and third day I was there. Which didn't bother me to much since I brought my own and most hotels I have stayed at in the past didn't provide them anyway.

Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr Hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Das Gasthaus hat eine Auswahl von lokalen Spezialitäten die sehr gut zubereitet werden und das ganze zu einem sehr günstigen Preis. Die Zimmer sind etwas einfach eingerichtet, sie könnten dem sehr ansprechenden Rest des Hauses angepasst werden.

Die etwas einfache Ausstattung der Zimmer, mehr Landhaus und rustikaler Charme wäre nett.
