Excellent hotel. This was our fourth visit and wont be our last. We had a health problem this time and I cannot thank the hotel enough for their assistance in organising for me to go to hospital and see a doctor. This is a 110% service hotel in all aspects.Food is also very good.

The restaurant across the road which was part of the hotel. It was friendly with excellent food and reasonably priced. The staff, especially the younger ones, were a little off-hand and snooty. The shower in our room was positively dangerous as the hot and cold taps had been switched. We did report this to the staff on leaving.

Good food and friendly and helpful staff. The location is nice, fairly quiet and a bit away from the city centre but still within easy reach (bus stop right in front of the hotel and good connection to the city centre). My room was a bit cold although the heating was on.

The location of the hotel is in a quiet area with direct access to a bicycle pad towards Trier. The sauna and swimming pool were pleasant. Compared with other 4-star rated hotels: There was no individual bathrobe in the room to go to the swimming pool There was no shampoo and soap choice It was too noisy. When someone flushed the toilets, everyone was aware. The temperature of the room was too high and it was not possible to change it at all. If we opened the window to get fresh air, we had the fume of the smokers who were smoking outside the restaurant. The restaurant food was a high price family like food rather than showing 4 star gastronomy

Staff spoke fluent English and very courteous. We upgraded to the larger room which was v nice with double sinks in the bathroom-well worth the extra money. Free wifi in lobby, free parking. Short drive to centre of Trier, itself a very good shopping town, making it a perfect stop off point on our drive back from Italy. Would thoroughly recommend. Bar&restaurant v good too-burger was massive with meat cooked perfectly-best and largest burger in many years! Nothing - we were very impressed. Perhaps a fully translated menu in English explaining the dishes.

The location was ok. Not far from Centrum. Food in the restaurant was decently prices and very good. I think most people who reviewed this hotel did everything just as usual I.e checked in on time, had dinner on time, didn't use wifi, spoke in German with the staff etc etc. All this is easy to handle for even a below average hotel. Its when you do something unusual, the hotel is really tested. The biggest problem is they advertise themselves as a four star hotel. So heres my story. I checked in late around 10:15 pm. Got a room on the 3rd floor. Lift only went to the second floor. Climbed up the stairs to the 3rd and went to my room. Due to some renovation going on there were wires left bare right outside my room. The door of the room opposite to mine was always left open for some reason. Went to the restaurant (10:30 pm) and the menu was restricted (ok no problem). Next evening I asked for iron and iron board and was told they dont have it and that I have to bring my clothes to the reception to get them ironed. (4 star?). Next evening when I returned back from work the clothes ironed clothes were hanging inside my room which is good but the clothes didn't look properly ironed at all. I didn't bother complaining as was too tired. Even the hangers were bent old ones. Breakfast was good but many staff members didn't smile or wish 'Good morning' (even in german). What more? Free wifi is only in the restaurant/lobby. In room wifi is paid. Just an average experience.

It's a nice place, within city limits. Has privacy and own parking... A bonus. The floor that I was on (third floor) and specifically the room next to mine was under renovation at the time. The renovations started at 9am and the cleaning lady did a surprise visit and woke me up... Didn't even knock on the door. I'm pretty sure it would have been a better experience without the ongoing renovation or at least had I been told about the ongoing renovation or better yet had a different room that was not next to the renovation. This is the only reason why I would not give a full rating of Excellent. I would have recommended this hotel if the establishment had done some kind of compensation other than saying 'sorry for the inconvenience'.

The hotel was comfortable and getting to and from Trier centre was day by the local bus service with a stop just outside the hotel. The food and service were excellent, as was the beer (Kraft Bier), which is brewed on-site. A nice place to stay.
