The staff were so nice, but the rooms were old and a bit run down (especially the towels). Neighborhood looked a bit run down too, and we worried about parking in the street overnight (which was free from 20:00-8:00, then limited to 2 hours). The friendly receptionist (owner?) showed us to a garage as an alternative, but it was empty and very dark with walls that blocked external view. It looked like the perfect place to break into a car, so we used the street instead.
Friendly staff, good location at the edge of downtown. We picked this hotel and Worms because we needed something inexpensive on the way to Speyer and Heidelberg. Totally unexpected was the great mythology theme with stained glass windows, and the owner's son (man in his 40s) enthusiastically telling us about the Nibelung story, then showing us their wall-size diorama with recorded English narration.
