This hotel was excellent. Modern facilities nicely decorated and very clean. A lovely breakfast and a nice wine bar. A very good choice if you are thinking of staying in the lovely town of Bernkastel-Kues.

The location was great and the fact that it had plenty of availaible parking. The room and bathroom were also very well presented, and breakfast generous and tasty.

The duvets were very warm, too hot for us, an option of a lighter/cotton blanket would have been great. The room itself was reasonably warm but not that warm that you could sleep without the duvet at all.

Great Hotel! Atmosphere, just everything about it. Ralph was a gem. Decor was old mixed with the new, very charming wine bar. The breakfast was delicious. The town was a short walk away. I would most definitely stay here because I would go back in a heartbeat.

Excellent service - the owner went out of his way to assist us when we arrived very late at night (even offering to make us dinner). Tasteful decor - simple, clean and bright rooms in a consistent style. Beautiful wine bar on ground floor. Walking distance to centre of Bernkastel Kues, but only just.

The staff went the extra mile to provide excellent service in English. All were most helpful and made the stay great. The interior design of this hotel is very modern, a true rarity for hotels in this area and price point. The tv was nice and did have cnn international...another nice touch. They do the small things well.

If considering this hotel, consider it's location. A little walking is necessary, but worth it.

We had a wonderful stay at the Burgblick hotel. All the staff were so helpful, very welcoming and friendly. The room was perfect with tea and coffee facility on the landing and sweets in the room. Breakfast was certainly the best we have had, with a great range of ham, cheese, salmon, breads, waffles and much more. We will certainly return to stay there again. There is a lovely wine bar in the hotel to come back too in the evening for a drink and there owner has a great knowledge of many of the local wines, which are available by the glass or bottle.

Unusual for an old German building to be renovated in such a modern way, but it worked very well. The breakfast was first class. So much to eat on the buffet, and fried/cooked eggs in any way were offered also. The owner worked so hard to please you.

After reading reviews on this site about the hotel, I was hoping to get a room with a view to the castle, which were rooms to the rear of the hotel, but I think these were reserved for previous visitors in the know. My wife and I had to make do with a room across the road in another building, with no view. No complaints about the room though. Maybe we should have turned up earlier.

Burgblick hotel offered excellent value - large clean room, and excellent breakfast! Friendly staff that advised us on activites, if I ever go back to the Mosel Valley I would stay here again.

Brilliant hotel, would have liked to stay longer, staff were friendly and helpful. The new wine bar is very good and modern, I would best describe the hotel as modern minimalist, with an urban twist. The breakfast was very good, plentiful and to a high standard. They certainly went that extra mile to make us feel really welcome. I would certainly stay there again and would recommend this hotel.

Being on the top floor was a bit of a downer, but the views made up for this (it would be worth asking for a lower floor when booking, if you are infirm).
